When you think of Baltimore one automatically thinks of the Inner Harbor. We stopped by this lovely building right in the Inner Harbor and was greeted by a wonderful volunteer Adam. You could tell he loved his city and everything it has to offer besides the obvious Inner Harbor and Aquarium. He told us we hit the weekend just right as there were “dollar days”. A dollar for entrance fees at many of the museums which often range from $8-$40. He also encouraged us to watch the 8minute video offered at the visitor center to get a feel for all the history of Baltimore. This is a great place to start your day and plan your visit of finding great hidden gems in Baltimore.

Whenever we visit a new city, my husband and I always try to find a walking tour to 1) familiarize ourselves with the city and, 2) learn some background info/history.
Fortunately, we stopped in at the Visitor Center and bought tickets ($10/person) for the 1:30 tour. We were not disappointed.
Monty, our tour guide, was outstanding and gave us an informative, humorous and enthusiastic 1.5 hour tour! We enjoyed our time with Monty and highly recommend this tour.

we spend some time inside as it was cold outside and it had some historical information but no-one attempted to talk to us (we were there alone) and the flyers were organized by topic but I could not find even flyers about all the different museums (it would be good to have a map on the display above the flyers and overview whichmuseums/ hisotrical attractions etc. are in Baltiomre and where they are positioned form the visiotrs center - including a brief summary of the contend - yes I am a museum studies major.
I never care much about flyers for restaurants/ hotels/ or not in town places

The five star review was because of their total willingness to respond to my obscure interest in the structure of the local police force and the policies towards policing. I wasn't sure whether I would get to the Blacks in Wax Museum and was glad they had four samples as an advertisement. Comfortably spacy place to ask questions or grab a map and some folders.

This closed by 3 pm every day. I did not get out of my meeting until 4pm at the earliest. Disappointing it wasn't open later hours during the summer

My friend and I had just one day in Baltimore to get a taste of the area. We stumbled upon the visitor's center (conveniently located) to obtain more info. And it was the best decision we made. We went to the counter and was greeted by Alan, a volunteer. We asked
