Here is a real gem of a local attraction. Housed in a gorgeous, Victorian glass conservatory (one of the favorite glass buildings of glass artist Dale Chihuly!), this is a very well maintained indoor botanical garden. The plants are grouped by climate, with a tropical...More

The Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory in Druid Hill Park is truly Baltimore's best kept secret. Although not extremely large, it is truly worth a visit. It is the 2nd oldest glass conservatory in the United States. The Palm House and Orchid Room are original buildings...More

We popped in to see the Maryland Orchid Society's annual orchid show. It was lovely to be inside on a cold, gray, winter day. The history of the original conservatory is very interesting. I agree with others that a visit takes less than an hour.

Very warm inside, maintained well. Worth a visit. Go check it out. Park close, not the greatest location in Baltimore, near the Zoo. Donations excepted, no other cost. Paid $20 for 3 people.
