If you like looking at colonial, gothic victorian, and art nouveau architecture and interior design this is the area to be in to browse through. From the peabody institute library to the cathedral and just the surrounding buildings.

High time college kids in USA get exposure to major city living but within a pleasant environment. JHU Homewood campus provides that with aplomb. Leafy colonial campus but only a free shuttle ride away from a tough city with great history and grit. Also an easy 45 minute train ride away from DC where another JHU campus is also located.... In my opinion, this is Baltimore's best university. It is beautiful, historic, and part of the city's identity. It strives to have a hand in its grand past and the city's future.

We walked here from our hotel (long walk for us) but my friend wanted to explore the campus. Very pretty grounds. Students were just moving back in. There is a little book/gift shop that we walked into to get out of the sun. The ladies in there were super nice and one of them told us quite a bit of... More

Just to clarify, Johns Hopkins University is not the same as Johns Hopkins Medical Campus or Hospital. Johns Hopkins University is a lovely campus in the Homewood area of northern Baltimore city. The hospital is southeast of this campus and is in a much different city neighborhood. It is a world class hospital and once you are in the complex... More

I count myself very fortunate to live less than two hours away from Johns Hopkins Medical Center. My husband had surgery there the other day at the out patient center and we were treated with respect and great care. I don't know if I can name all the wonderful people there who assisted in making that surgery experience a less... More

Visited with niece who is considering attending the school. We took tour with her as she got a close look at the campus. It's very nice. Lots of trees and the architecture is incredible. Feels like a university and a place for higher learning.

I am not sure what we expected during this college visit. We loved the beautiful campus on 140 acres of land. The paths and landscaping are very well done. There is a small downtown near the dorms for shopping and restaurants, and there was security everywhere.
