This a wonderful place to visit. There are several things to learn and see. We attended the War on the Chesapeake tour and it was absolutely fantastic. The guide was John and he was volunteer. He made the visit more meaningful because of all the information he provided. He was pretty funny too. It is also a great place to walk your dog or go for a run/walk, which many people were doing.

My adult son and I visited Fort McHenry today. Be aware that this boat tour has not been offered since 2015. According to the Park Rangers that we spoke with, this boat ride feature was run by an outside company, not by the Fort McHenry organization. Just wanted to let you all know. Otherwise our visit to the Fort was a great experience!

We stopped at Fort McHenry because of the historical importance. The fort and surrounding area was interesting. My wife, son and I sang the National Anthem with a family from Minnesota which was very neat.

We had been to Fort McHenry many times before, but never took the boat tour. The boat takes you out into the harbor and you view the fort from the approximate area that Francis Scott Key viewed the fort when he was held on a British ship. The view he had from that ship during the battle was his inspiration for writing the Star Spangled Banner. It was very emotional to be on the water looking at the Fort and thinking about the history of the Star Spangled Banner.
