Wonderful evening
Jan 2020 • Couples
My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful concert here. The staff is so helpful, and even allowed us to view different seating areas before the concert. The orchestra was amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing Ben Crawford for the first time. I hope to come back in the future!

Holiday show
Dec 2019 • Family
Attended the Cirque Nutcracker with the BSO for the holiday show. Music was fab6. The performers were very good. Their acrobatic stunts were over the top. So very good. A performance along with the music worth seeing again

Cool as hell, I really enjoyed this place.
Nov 2019
We got to do both a tour backstage and then see a performance the following night. This place is fantastic. The tour was great and we really got a good sense of what it's like to perform and work here. We then got to wait in the lobby and we played games and it was a nice space to chill and wait in. Then we went to our Chorus clinic, and our instructor (who's name escapes me) was fantastic. And the BBQ buffet we then had was also great.

The acoustics inside the space are really great, and the best thing about the place is its design and just how nice it looks. I love some good architecture and boy does this place have it. Definitely worth a visit under any circumstances, and if you can take a tour, definitely do it! I got to stand on the stage of the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall which is kinda awesome.

What a delightful venue! Excellent acoustics (better than the Kennedy Center Concert Hall), good views of the stage, good parking nearby that doesn't take a long wait to get into or out of. Bal'm'r got this one right!

Acrobats, Contortionists, Jugglers, and High-Flying Aerialists, Oh My!!!
Dec 2018 • Couples
Magical! We can't wait to go again. As first time visitors to this symphony hall, we truly had an exciting experience. Sitting in the front row, we were able to see every detail of the performers right down to their beads of sweat. It was such a rush to watch as the aerial performers would jump off the stage right in front of us and then over top of us as they swung in the air on a trapeze. The Cirque Nutcracker was a perfect show to see during the Christmas season, great for couples as well as families. So much so, we may end up making this an annual event. Not only did we get a breathtaking view of the extraordinarily talented Troupe Vertigo performers, but we also got to take in the angelic sounds of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra playing live on stage directly behind them.

Our seats were purchased online 2 months ahead of the event and cost $45 a piece for orchestra center along with a $4 processing fee for each ticket. For parking, we used the adjacent Symphony Center Parking Garage at 1030 Park Avenue and paid a $12 cash only fee at the gate. It was a short walk directly across the street to the event hall.

A Visit to Remember!
Jan 2019 • Family
We came from San Diego to attend the Rodgers and Hammerstein event and it was just as wonderful as we had hoped. Jack Everly is a fantastic conductor with a great sense of humor. I am a big fan of Ben Crawford so he was as great as ever along with Ashley Brown and Ted Keegan. The venue itself it really nice with comfortable seating and nice legroom.

First Class!
Jan 2019 • Couples
After 13 years of attending the Baltimore Symphony and since the welcoming of Marin Alsop as the Music Director, attendance at the Symphony has skyrocketed and the performances are consistently high quality. For example, this week Jack Every conducted a phenomenal and intimate performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein creations. Coupled with the talented Ben Crawford, Ted Keegan, Ashley Brown and the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, the performances was engaging and unique. Crawford took a week off of his current role as Phantom in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. Keegan and Brown are also accomplished Broadway performers. Jack Everly has such an intimate connection with the audience that this community adores him!

Not good for comedy
Nov 2018
Although this venue is excellent for the symphony, be careful where you sit if you go there for a comedy or lecture. In the area we were seated for a comedy show, none of the three people in my party could clearly understand either of the two comedians and we all have very good hearing. There was no warning about the seats which were not obstructed.

Audio was very poor for the event
Nov 2018 • Couples
My husband and I went to the 9:30pm comedy show for Sebastian Maniscalco. We walked from our Hotel Revival. The venue is very modern looking inside. There were plenty of open bars opened on all levels so the wait times were not long. The bathrooms were fine and the seats are red velvet and very comfortable. We sat in the upper side balcony. The sight line was great but the audio was horrible. I suppose maybe because this is a symphony hall it was built for large sound. For a one man show with one microphone it did not do well. We missed a lot of the punchlines, I don’t know if it is his delivery and he drops his voice at the end of the sentence or because there were no speakers up where we were. I am guessing if your seats are straight back from the stage on ground level you would be fine. The other strange thing (and the comedian commented on it) the stage was HUGE for a one man act. He was visually lost on the stage. I would have thought they would have placed a black backdrop drape behind him to cut the stage down with some up lighting. There was none of that. I am still glad we traveled from Pittsburgh to see this show because we adventured, dined, and stayed in the Mt. Vernon area for two nights. Our stay in Baltimore was very nice.

BSO Pulse concerts
Oct 2018
A truly unique experience hosted by the BSO and WTMD (local radio station). A live performance by a well known band plus the Baltimore Symphony equals a night of magical sounds that take you to another level. An all around fun night that starts with music in the lobby and a display of food on sale from local area restaurants. Way to go Baltimore!
