My favorite area in Baltimore for just walking around. Sort of has a feel of a European city to it--great architecture, lots of restaurants, lots of people on the streets. Plus the Peabody, Walters Art Museum and Meyerhoff add that cultural vibe.

This was my favorite place to walk in Baltimore, the inner Harbor is beautiful but I was in love with the architecture of Mt. Vernon. They just don't make beautiful buildings like that anymore, and it's a gem for photographers! I couldn't quit snapping pictures.

Beautiful neighborhood. Loved all the old houses, and the churches were amazing! Unfortunately, I didn't get to spend much time exploring. Would definitely stay in Mount Vernon, again, if I go back to Baltimore.

The neighborhood offers a number of attractions from museum to restaurants to monuments. There are a few historical sings on each of the buildings as you stroll through the area to acquaint you with its history.
