3 inches of rain in less than 4 hours , and the company refused to cancel the tour or allow us to reschedule/give us a refund! Even our tour guide was calling the office and asking to cancel, but "the office" wouldn't do it. We WADED through streets in the pouring rain, and puddles that were well above my shoe tops. Heard less than one third of the guide's talk, even though he was shouting - the pouring rain, the traffic, the wind made it impossible to hear what he said. It might have been tolerable had the food been good but, even if the weather had been dry, I can tell you that this was one of the worst food tours I have been on. The pierogis were cold and chewy, the "Tiger sauce" on the pit beef sandwich was neither mayo or horseradish ( basically it was tasteless), the venue for the crab cake tasting was a bar where the music was so loud that you could not hear the person sitting next to you, much less the guide who was once again shouting to be heard ( and the crab cakes were nothing special). My husband and I use food tours to learn about local cuisine and good restaurants. And for the first time in all the tours we have taken, I can safely say that none of these restaurants will be on our "must do again " list. Our guide was witty and informative, but he was fighting impossible odds - I would never blame Timmy for the bad choices the company made.
