We hadn't been to this zoo in many years! There are so many updates. There were animals not in their exhibition. I would call or check their website before heading over to the zoo.

The Maryland Zoo has a very good African Wildlife Exhibit. The Children's Zoo is also very good. The Zoo Guides are very friendly and knowledgable. I went with a group, but hope to visit soon again to get a better look at the Penguin Exhibit....More

According to google maps it's a 17minute bike ride (2.4 miles) and only 12minutes by car (no biggie since it's only a difference of 5 minutes). There's free parking which is rare these days. I wouldn't advise to walk there... More
