I went here as a child and I absolutely loved it. I was so anxious to take my boyfriend's six year old here. He absolutely loved it and has been asking to go back. There are so many hands on exhibits for kids 2-12. We spent 3 hours here and would have stayed longer if it weren't for being hungry.... More

We were 2 families with 3 kids, aged 1, 3 and 8. The 8 year old had a blast. Lots of activities/exhibits for him. Plus, the playing structure in the middle was really great for him. The down side of the day was very few exhibits were for our 1 and 3 years old. While they enjoyed the visit, they... More

I go here all the time. Great for the kids. The jungle gym is really big. They are always adding new things as well. Great educational things also. Be prepared to run around with your children and play or let them play with the other children. Every time we go we are there for over 4 hours.

My wife, our 5 year old daughter and almost 8 year old son went here this past weekend. We had a very good time (better than we all expected). The interactive exhibits were interesting, varied and substantial for the space. They packed a lot into the building. Also the employees are mostly very upbeat, helpful and positive. If you're only... More

We went to port discovery for a morning. The kids loved the water room. They liked making the damns and shooting the water guns. They played on the playground for an hour. It was Asian pacific American heritage month when we went. They kids made Chinese lanterns and kites. They listened to some Japanese folk tales which was wonderful! The... More

This place is ideal for kids 3-6, my 7 year old wasn't as stimulated as she would have been had she been a bit younger. Still a great place to spend the afternoon. What was great was the arts and craft projects kids can work on which was a hit with my daughter. The center piece to this place is... More

We visited with 2 year old grandchild who loves to run from one exhibit to the next. Plenty activities ranging from sand tables to climbing in a massive tree fort sans the tree. They have an old fifties style restaurant that the kids can pretend to make and serve food, complete with a working juke box. Many activities, too numerous... More

This museum is great for younger kids, not older. Lots of hands-on activities. You can spend a few hours there, good for a rainy day

This place is so perfect for the little kids. There is a place for them to explore all the things they want to explore in our day to day lives including a real life grocery store that they can be a shopper or cashier, diner that they can take orders, make the food and serve (all fake food so no... My friend and I took our two daughters, ages 5 and 10, to the PDCM, as I had been there once before with my daughter and she expressed interest in going with another child this time. It was much more fun for her that way, despite their age difference! The climbing structure in the middle of the building is top-notch... More
