This is a great piece of American history that many people miss. You need to do the full guided tour to get the whole picture. They also have a really nice playroom for kids.

From reading the reviews, it seems as though our visit was on the wrong day. The museum was lackluster for the price and the video is old and outdated. As far as the house, there was no one to give a tour, we were given...More

There is a small museum in addition to touring the home where the star spangled banner creators lived. Start with a short film on the history, view the museum exhibits and then tour the home. You can go with a guide or you can go...More

I loved learning about the remarkable maker of the Star-Spangled Banner---Mary Pickersgill, a widow who supported her family with a successful sewing business. We paid...More

The main building had a lot of historical information about the time leading up to the battle of Baltimore. The front of the main building with the glass picture of a flag is the actual size of the flag that was flown during that battle...More

This just marks the creation of the flag that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the Star Spangled Banner. A few blocks from the harbor and right next to Little Italy.

I would say you could spend an hour in the museum and another half-hour/45 min in the Pickersgill house.
