We’ve been looking for a winery on Saturday afternoon, and ended up here - for honey wine! Such a different but nice place - with production, and storage of barrels. And people are enjoying more than 15 different tastes, while playing board or card games,...More

We stumbled across Charm City Meadworks during Doors Open Baltimore. It was one of the locations since it’s located in an old postal garage. It was a fun place to check out and sample mead. My husband and I split a flight so we could...More

Hi Jamie, Thanks for stopping by and the feedback. Doors Open Baltimore was our first day open to the public and we have made numerous improvements since then: Doubled the seating, added another checkout station, conducted additional staff training to speed up service, stocked non-alcoholic...More

The staff was fantastic and welcoming. The brand new place was a bit too tight with not enough tables for the large crowds of opening night. We were disappointed when we ordered a flight, but because they ran out of glasses they could only do...More

Hi Kaitlin, Thanks for stopping by and we appreciate your patience as we work things out! We agree: more tables are already made and printed receipts will be coming soon to speed the checkout process. It was a tough decision to stop flights, but one...More

Last Saturday, my husband and I visited the Charm City Meadworks (“CCM”), in their new location. What an interesting building and history! The building was built in the early 1920s over the infilled riverbed of the Jones Falls. CCM produces Baltimore’s only honey-based spirit. The...More

Though small, the tasting room was fun and inviting! I got a Groupon for tastings and growlers for two, and my mead-loving boyfriend was thrilled! We got to try eight different meads and each left with a bottle of our favorite. The only downside is...More

I enjoyed trying mead, it doesn't taste like wine, it tastes lighter but it is stronger. Their pours are very generous, you get 4 glasses (a flight) for $8 and the glasses are almost 1/2 full. I wanted to try their Mango Mead and it...More

We did not get to the actual Meadworks, we were able to try several products at the Fell's Point Farmer's Market. I do not actually like Mead, but this stuff was awesome! I liked the product they compare to the champagne of Mead... we bought...More

Hubby took me out to make use of a great Groupon. It included 2 flights (=8 samples) of whatever they have in season and 2 take-home bottles for $25. Great experience. Small & cozy warehouse/garage setup that just works. BYOF.
