We were glad we toured. Exquisite mansion, with a lot of woodwork, excellent craftsmanship and some first in a home of that time in Astoria.

Enormous mansion that gives a peek into the lives of the wealthy Flavel family, whose patriarch, Captain Flavel, was a founding father of Astoria. The town has hundreds of Victorian houses, but this is the most spectacular. Some of the furniture is original to the...More

One of the best preserved, small town early houses that I have ever seen. The city did itself proud here. Go see it.

Stopped by with our kids. Interesting self guided tour. You can walk in most rooms and really see the house. Not able to access the the attic...which made me want to jump the rope and go explore.

When you walk in the front you are taken back to earlier days. Every room has a story to tell. The fireplace mantels are amazing each one different. The furniture us awesome and the story of Captain Flavel is great.

There is a lot to see and enjoy on the first floor. This old house was not built in a time when builders considered disability This attraction would be hard to enjoy in a wheelchair too.
Are you open tomorrow?

I do not know if they are open tomorrow. They only serve tea to cruisers who have signed up for the tea and scones excursion. The museum is open daily but not for tea.
