Bridge takes you over the Columbia River between Washington and Oregon. Basically from the little town of Chinook,Wa. to Astoria,Or. May not be for the faint of heart as the bridge does a steep climb above the river so ships can pass underneath.

There were nice bathrooms and historical and information markers on the Washington side. A neat drive. Bird's eye view on the bridge. I've heard Astoria's waterfront is up and coming but we missed it:(

Gawk at cute downtown Astoria then you will accidentally get on this long long bridge and not be able to get off for a mile. You'll enjoy the trip back over more.

This is directly behind the hotel we are in and we have amazing views. It was fun watching boats pass the bridge.

Can't figure out why it's rated as an attraction, it's really just a bridge. Of course, maybe it's me and I'm just not into bridges.

A very unique bridge due to its long length and very high altitude in the beginning which allows for tall ships to pass by underneath. We drove across it and drove back again to Astoria. Well-worth the short trip.

This bridge connects Washington State to Oregon State on the 101 Highway. It is quite long (6.5 kilometres), and has both a water level span, as well as a much higher span to allow ships to pass under. There is a. Hence that you will...More

You could see a big part of the bridge from the The Astoria Column, which is overlooking the Columbia River but not all.

They are and will be until 2017 if I recall the signs right. I do not recall a low overhang clearance, at least nothing any conceivable vehicle would worry about.
