This is the second golf course in two weeks that we have played while it was undergoing some renovations. On this one, there were several temporary tees while the regular ones were being resodded. Many greens were dried out and in really poor shape. Others were like glass; the ball wouldn’t stop. Fairways were so-so with bare spots in many places. It’ll be a while befnore this one is in good playing shape again. Once it is in playable condition, it is a ice course to ride through. 3-29-2021…

I live in Jacksonville and play about 100 rounds of golf each year, which includes every Jax course except perhaps the top 3 private course. I usually play about half a dozen rounds each year at Blue Sky. It's never been a "primo" course, just basically a place to go play a cheap round and practice your game. When I say cheap round, I mean for years the rates have been $25 to $45 depending on day and time. Yesterday I play Blue Sky with a friend and was charged $68 for the round and basically told to take it or leave it when I protested. I payed and played. The place has become a goat ranch and is charging the highest rates in town. As a 50 year avid golfer, I would rate this course as the: >Most expensive in town >The worst condition course in town Please don't waste your time or money here until management (Hampton Golf) either makes the course worth $68 by actually growing some grass on the fairways and greens or reduces their green fees to $20. It’s in fair shape. Price is right. First two times (April) drink cart came around. Now that summer heat is here no drink cart in sight, that’s my only true complaint. Starter got us off early all 3 times of play. Never slowed down on all three rounds. We will be back.

Service sucks unless you are a regular. The food is not that good either. Blue cheese dressing for the wings lacks blue cheese chunks. Save yourself the trip!

Had a tee time at 11:48. Teed off at 12:25. Starter allowed a group of eight to tee off at the same time. Many of them hitting two balls each. I asked the starter if he would address it so we could get things moving along for us and the three groups behind us. He immediately got an attitude and said don't tell him how to do his job. Kind of funny since obviously he needs some guidance on what a starter is supposed to do. …
