Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra

I love all kinds of music. You can call me a music geek. I play clarinet, piano, organ, handbells and absolutely love the symphony.

It gives you the feeling of a mix of small town and modern city symphony orchestra. I enjoyed the humor touch the director puts into the concert.

I was actually brought to tears at one point I was so moved. I have never seen/heard a symphony live before & words can't express how much I loved this experience.

We make it a tradition to attend at least 2 holiday performances and 2 or more performances during the regular season. We particularly love the Pops series. The symphony never disappoints!

The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra since I'very witnessed the orchestra at the St. Louis Symphony. They will entice your senses with professional musical pieces that's a sure delight for the entire family.

I was expecting a small town orchestra. They were quite good and did some great work. I would go again in a minute.

The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra is the best-kept secret in Florida! Our vivacious young conductor, Courtney Lewis, brings new energy and relatability to all generations through his outreach programs, his dynamic personality, and his passionate conducting style. If you have not bought season tickets yet, do it! If you're visiting Jax, go to a performance!

I have been to see the Jacksonville Symphony several times over the past few years. Some of the concerts that I remember were: "The Music of Queen" (Oct 2012), "Amadeus" (Mar 2013), "Ride of Valkyries" (Mar 2013), "Neil Sedaka" (Apr 2013), "Classical Mystery Tour" (Nov 2013), "Salute to America" (w/the Naval Academy Glee Club) (Nov 2014), "Porgy & Bess" (Jan... Jacksonville Symphony orchestra is a real treat for a small southern city as Jacksonville. Their music is quite simply elegant and excellent. They have a varied program every year, not the same old numbers. Under the new Music Director/Conductor Courtney Lewis, things are already looking and sounding a little different from prior years.. all in a positive way!
