Too many people associated the Symphony with just classical music. Last night my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a Pops concert featuring the music of Journey, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Loggins and Messina, Hall and Oates, Chicago, Paul McCarthy, Billy Joel, and many more. The Symphony was accompanied by 3 great singers. The symphony hall was packed and everyone in... More

The venue is amazing and the symphony was beautiful. We attended with grandchildren and everyone felt comfortable. Can't wait to go back.

Our tickets were in the balcony center and we were surrounded by elementary school students (evening performance) who kicked seatbacks, giggled, used their phones, and totally overshawdowed our enjoyment of the music and performers. We spoke with the teachers during the intermission and they apologized. The students had come on buses and spent the day in Jacksonville. They had eaten... More

The orchestra offers a lovely night out and spectacular music! Would recommend people to visit when they have concert series going. That way you can hear some of the most talented musicians !

This is a gem of an orchestra with dynamic conductor and a bright spot in the cultural scene of Duval County & region! According to experts the acoustics are superb; I agree at the most basic level. Last night attended Dream of Gerontius oratorio with great symphonic chorus & student chorale group from UNF & 3 distinguished soloists. Lovely!

The Dream of Gerontius was the most spiritually moving piece of symphonic literature I have heard since Mahler's "Resurrection Symphony."

Superb! A must do for Jacksonville. A reminder though, you can't bring your drink into the auditorium and the lines are long for drinks. So if you don't get there early or you can't drink it fast, skip the drink. We had cocktails at a restaurant nearby and then you can always go for cocktails after as your mind still... More

Jacksonville is blessed with an incredible Symphony Orchestra , lead by conductor, COURTNEY LEWIS. The wide variety of presentations from the Masterworks, Pops, Coffee and Matinee Series provide something for everyone who enjoys music. If you are coming to the city please check the programs available for those dates... you won't be disappointed!

It gives you the feeling of a mix of small town and modern city symphony orchestra. I enjoyed the humor touch the director puts into the concert.
