I did not ride this but my son did while training for a olympic triathlon. He said it was great for that. Not great scenery but safe and not much traffic to worry about.

This trail runs East/West along an unused paved over railraod bed. No cars or motorized vehicles are allowed so its much safer to enjoy, esp with children... In places it is wonderfullly shaded and wooded then will open up to meadows and open areas. At the middle restrooms a boardwalk leads back to a historical Civil War encampment and park... More

Trail is well maintained with good pavement some roots pushing up here and there. . There are ample parking areas along the way with bathrooms here and there. A great mix of riding styles: cycling club group rides, individuals riders of varying abilities, walkers, families and kids. There are snakes once in a while which you just ride around. Deer,... This over 14 mile long, wide asphalt trail runs from an Imeson Road parking lot in Jacksonville to a delightful park in Baldwin with picnic space, playground, and even a small skatepark. If you are used to starting at Imeson, and don't do the whole thing,I highly recommend trying Jax-Baldwin from the Baldwin trailhead. Mostly shady and peaceful, the trail... More

I absolutely love riding the Jacksonville-Baldwin Trail! It's one of my favorite things to do in Jax. It's suitable for walking, running, bicycling, dog walking, etc. but we love to bike it. The pavement is very smooth and well-kept, and overall it's a really fun experience to cruise along through all the different areas. You'll pass residential areas, more rural... More

This is the old railroad line that ran from downtown to Baldwin and beyond. It was converted to a nature Bike trail some years ago and is visited by many folks of all ages.

Went mid week. Great place for a relaxing ride or for the serious rider. Smooth asphalt. Tree canopied most of the way. Benches along the way to take a break. Bathrooms also at various locations along the way. All in all, worth the trip. We road for about two hours and did not do the whole trail. But we are... More

This walking and biking trail offers a pleasant alternative to the hustle and bustle of the city. The trail is wide enough for four or five bicycles and is paved. It runs for 14 miles to the countryside. The trail is mostly shaded during the day with Forest on either side. There are restrooms water and picnic facilities about halfway... More

This is a great ride for bicyclers who are tired of dodging traffic. It is a nice asphalt path through woods, farmland and residential areas. The day I went there were serious bikers, couples, kids with training wheels, kids in strollers, walkers, joggers and even a couple on horseback. Even though you sometimes feel you are in the middle of... More

This was an excellent place to ride our bikes today. The trail is flat, paved and smooth. The trees are pines and palms. There were cows in some of the fields. There are very clean restrooms. There is easy parking. There was very little traffic. Florida could give the other forty nine states lessons on how to build and maintain... More
