There's a bit of everything here. Trails winding through Florida's greenery, two playgrounds, a pier, and boat ramp. The views are stunning! Mandarin Park is a great place to spend a couple of hours and it is in a convenient location.

We live in the Mandarin neighborhood and take the grandchildren there quite often. We had 2 of them visiting from NC just this weekend and they had a blast. Great play area, run around space, walk to the river, decent restrooms. Wonderful for family time. They even had really nice pavilions for parties (reserve on line) as very little charge. GIve it a try - you will want to return.

Nicely landscaped, covered picnic shelters, playground equipment in good repair. Restrooms are unkept and no toilet paper. Trash is not regularly picked up and properly disposed of. Small boat launch. Nice dock to walk out and sit over the waterway. Some homeless activity /hustlers in the area. Keep an eye on younger children.

My husband and I took our two dogs to enjoy the weather at this local park just minutes from our house. While there, we crossed paths with a woman who made snide comments regarding our dogs trying to eat "her" cats (we were nowhere near any other animals at the time) After we started looking, we realized that this woman has been feeding at least two dozen feral cats at multiple areas throughout this park, even placing food in 5 separate spots right next to the playground. Judging by the speed in which the cats gathered around the food, this seems to be a long-standing arrangement. I have serious reservations about a park that takes no issue with encouraging feral animals to occupy a space where small children may inadvertently cross paths with animals carrying diseases.

Pass you may not be good enough to enjoy the park with its tennis minivan driving mom morons. Go somewhere else. Just a bunch of snobby snitches!

Do not hope to see birds in this park as a few folk have decided to favor the lives of wild domestic cats, an exotic, invasive species, over the lives of native animals, including birds. A public pier is being replaced after destruction by Hurricane Irma. A playground and picnic areas, as well as, good public restrooms are available. Racoons take advantage of the cat food, therefore it is unwise to bring any valued pets to this park (Rabies danger).

Not only are there several trails, a pavillion with rest rooms, picnic tables, a fun playground and tennis courts - there's the St Johns River. Sit under the covered area at the end of the dock and watch Julington Creek meet the St John's River. A wonderful place to exercise, eat or just relax.

It was a beautiful day to be outside. My husband and I decided to visit the park. There are blooming Azaleas, Magnolia, Pine, Cypress trees and shady Oak trees lining the walking paths and decks that lead to the river.

I have came here in the past year numerous times, and it still has that very scenic and well-kept feel to it, and I have never seen it too crowded.
It is a comfortable quaint environment that I shared with my Fiancee, which is where I proposed to her on the dock with a very pleasant view of the rivers.
Near the dock there always seems to be faint live music nearby which is always relaxing .
There are also various nature trails that is perfect for bringing your beloved pet or taking some time to yourself, and if you have kids, there is also a modest little playground which will keep kids entertained for some time.
Overall, my ONLY complaint is that it can be slightly difficult to locate with it being on a side road but the signs leading you towards it will quickly direct you in the right direction.
I highly recommend visiting this park!
