Stopped at this park on a whim. Wanted to walk to the river but that part of the trail was closed. Trash all along the trail. We tried to pick the big bottles up. No handy trash cans though. Park equipment was fun for the kids but trash everywhere there too. Just seemed kind of sketchy. Don’t know that I would come back. But the trail walk was very pretty and we got to see some wildlife.

There was a fight going on with police and people screaming. Not a good scene with kids. Area is sketchy at times.

The play ground is alright. ........but who need's a play ground, when you have these trees to climb! And a cute board walk to the water.

Dirty park, downright scary restrooms (stall doors didn't lock, no soap). Did not appear to be a safe place for children or anyone for that matter. Wooden walkway out to water had missing planks. Just a terrible park in that everything is in very poor condition. We had great hopes and left feeling depressed.

This is a great neighborhood multiuse park - soccer fields up front with bathrooms, ball fields in back, playground including covered picnic pavilion with bathrooms, and a couple of tennis courts which are shaded in early morning, then in the way back is the wooded trail area - great for a walk, run or bicycle ride. We take our dogs back there most days of the week.

My kids grew up playing at Ringhaver Park, there is a nice playground/bathrooms, tennis courts, walking trails and boardwalk to the river. If you are in the area, stop in.

This gem is very close to the city streets of Jax/OP, but is a tranquil paradise. The trails are fantastic and the view is serene. Although I did not visit with kids, it's a very family/kid friendly preserve with a playground, etc. A great daytime escape!

It's funny to have a place like this 30 minutes from home and never know about it. Blanding to 118th and you're there. Soccer fields, baseball fields, 2 tennis courts, 2 playgrounds, football field, and a really nice nature trail of @1.5 miles to the Ortega River. Really enjoyed the hike. Paved trail, mostly covered with shade from canopy trees. Very peaceful, crisscrossed by other trails and loops for hiking and biking, etc. Went on a Sunday morning. Saw some hikers on the trail and 1 biker. Very enjoyable hike, over 2 boardwalks, and down to a small dock area on the river. Gotta admit it seemed like quite a hike to portage a canoe or kayak. Will definitely go again to hike. Kids fully enjoyed playground due to tons of equipment in a very large mulched space. Covered pavilion which you can rent of City of Jax. Trailhead and bigger playground all the way in the back so keep working your way through the parking lot. 2 sets of bathrooms. Surrounding neighborhood was okay. Wouldn't leave anything valuable in car of course these days.....bring water for the hike!!

Great for toddlers and early walkers. It has age specific areas for all ages from toddlers/early walkers to school age kids. They also have soccer fields and baseball fields with a nature trail as well.
