This park is very quiet, and not crowded at all. It's actually a well kept secret, having to travel through a neighborhood to find it (Key Haven). I don't think many people are aware of this lake area. The park has long, shady trails around the lake to hike. One side has a boardwalk, and shady places to relax next to the lake. There is a fishing area that stretches over the lake as well. I've seen quite a few different birds and other wildlife here, including green anoles (lizards), and colorful species of caterpillar. I enjoy taking photos of the wildlife I see.

This park is hidden back in a neighborhood. Its a very nice quiet place to get away. Has trails, fishing, and some nice docks. You can take your canoe or kayak out on the lake. Also has some cabins for rent. great place to get away and take in the beauty of the lake.

The customer service at this park is very rude. I called to find out of possible open dates, the attendant was rude and impatient. When I asked about a particular date she informed me that it was already taken, at that time I attempted to find out the next best date for the event I was having, very short. "Maam I already told you the only dates I have is ;;;;;;" This is not a professional manner to address customers. very dissapointed

Went fishing and strolled the boardwalk. Beautiful setting with helpful staff. Hope to come back again. Would be great for kayaking or canoeing.

This is a well Florida Wildlife fish Management lake. It is stocked with bass, catfish and several species of sunfish. They stocked 3000 channel catfish in 2018. We caught about 20 as the sun went down. The gate closes at one half hour after sunset. I don't know if you'd get locked in. Anyway, the fish we caught were all small except one. I think by 2020 those fish will all be 2 - 3 lbs. Please catch and release small ones. There are feeders around the lake which might make fishing harder. We did see a kayak on the water. Looked like he broke off something big. Probably not a great place for small kids. Didn't see a bathroom anywhere but there might be one. the wooden boardwalk goes half way around the pond and is great for handicapped access for fishermen. The boards were very slippery in some spots though. Over all Great place to fish, not great for little kids.
