Stopped in for a pint on the recommendations of friends. Enjoyed an excellent seasonal pick (Notorious FIG) and their award winning Belgian Pale Ale. Delicious. Got a surprise performance from the Jaguars drum line and cheerleaders. It was the perfect start to our Jacksonville football weekend.

We’ve actually visited a few times now over the summer and have never been disappointed. They have a great selection of good beers. The building used to be an ice house so it has a lot of character. They have a nice outdoor space but it’s just too hot over the summer to enjoy it.

Been here many times and it’s always better than I remember! Barrel aged sours, the “White Russian series” and holy hell the 5 year anniversary series of strong ales at 16+ %, its all awesome, if you like beer you MUST go here!

The quality of the beer is very good but the poor service and attitude of the bartenders was inexcusible. There are several other great breweries with great service in Jax that will keep me from every coming here again. The customer does NOT come first here and never will.

Aardwolf is easily the best brewery in Jacksonville! The beers are excellent across the board, we always start with a flight. The historic building is beautifully remodeled. The vibe is low key and friendly. No sports bar here - although there is a tv in the back room if you need to watch.
The beers are what bring us but we love the place.

Checked this place out last night after friends recommended it. Loved the vibe inside. Nice patio but a little too chilly to sit outside. This beer selection was great and my husband and I both found ones we liked. (We have completely different ideas of what a great beer is!) Glad we went there!

We drove to Jacksonville for a quick getaway and wanted to check out a few local breweries while there. I'm very glad that we stopped at this one as it is by far one of my favorites to date! Loved the decor that showed off the historical building and the overall atmosphere in the main tasting room. There is a nice outdoor patio and private event space available as well.

Most importantly, the beers were amazing! I chose a flight since many of the options appealed to me and I couldn't decide on just one. Prices were good (better than our local breweries for the glass size) and the flavor descriptions were on point. I thought the names of the different brews were quite fun as well! My personal favorites were Dubbel Team and Forget*Me*Now.

There was also a food truck parked outside near the patio. We didn't eat, but the truck appeared to be purely Vegan cuisine. Not sure if that particular truck stays at the brewery, but having a food option nearby was nice.

My girlfriend and I went because we loved the white russian stout we had last time and we were excited to go during the week so it was a bit less packed. We sat down at the bar and our bartender stood in front of us waiting for us to make a decision. His name was not on the receipt so I will refer to him as idiot with the face tattoo. After awakwardly standing there while we were checking Untappd he then asked the horrible question, "what do you guys like?" Clearly uninterested in his suggestions we explained we were looking through Untappd to see what we have and have not tried (we have tried over 2000 distinct beers and been to over 100 breweries.) He said he has Untappd but doesn't use it except to "troll" people. My girlfriend made a comment about a beer brewed with bretanomyces and face tattoo interjected to say "yeast has no impact on the flavor of beer." For those who don't brew their own beer (which we do) yeast is the single greatest contributor of flavor to beer, up to 70%. We grabbed a flight and a beer, the white russian was great and everything else was subpar. I cannot believe they let someone who knows nothing work the bar at a brewery. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't know any better and has believed face tattoo's "knowledge." Lesson learned, if you're bartender has a face tattoo, order from someone else.
