We’re wintering for a month in Jacksonville and have visited Engine 15 as part of the Jax Ale Trail promotion. We’ve visited 12 local breweries and this one is the best by far. This is our second trip back to Engine 15.
Great selection of beers (really love the Nut Sack Brown ale!) and food is great too. My wife has had the smoked BLT twice and I really recommend the brisket sandwich.
Bar staff is great and Tracina is super friendly and helpful!
Highly recommended!

We frequent here whenever possible. We enjoy their beers and the staff has always been polite and friendly. Their nut sack brown is one of our favorites. Their lunchtime specials are a great value.

I have visited this smaller venue twice and each time it was a novel surprise of discovery.

The Engine 15 is apart of the growing micro/craft brewing trend that is integrating itself into the greater Jacksonville community and enjoying its support. Centered in a strip mall on the south side of Beach Blvd as one crosses the Inter-coastal bridge, the brewery is not obvious from the street and its supporting bar&grill bears a few neon signs through darkened glass. There are a few tables on a converted section of the parking lot in front of the place that mark the entrance and location.

Inside, the long bar dominates half of the venue where 40+ taps of craft and imported beer are on display with colorful tap handles and a large chalk board noting each beer. With a simple menu collection at spaced intervals, one has the choice of two unequal sections to sit at. Beers can be purchased to go in growlers (gallon or quarts) as well as in 16 or 20 oz (pints & Imperial pints) and in four- 4oz sampler trays.

The other side of the venue is the brewery, which can be seen from the front as well as from windows from the bar area. Aromas from the brewery drift into the bar area, so the patrons can be entertained with really being there.

The selection of the bar for beer is dominated by Engine 15's creative beers and are noted simply as E-15 on the chalkboard. A defining style and ABV content is also noted with each entry.

As a former leader in the craft beer movement in NY, coming here and seeing this was enjoyable as I found the beers to be diverse and very drinkable. My favorite of the past two visits has been the Engine 15 "Grease Monkey Stout", which is served on a nitrogen-pushed tap line.

Interestingly enough, it appears the local brewers stock each other's beers in their bars. I noted both Green Room and Bold City beers on tap at Engine 15 as well as a collaboration ale with an upcoming area brewer known as Aardwolf (San Marco area of Jacksonville, FL).

The supporting menu to the bar is both good and easy to read.

I highly recommend this venue for any beer enthusiast as well as any student of restaurant building and management as the Engine 15 Brewing Company is putting out the fires of thirst for a great place to have a beer that not typical of the area.

Quaint location but plenty of beers on tap. We tried two flights, 10-5oz beers. I believe we enjoyed 8 of the 10 which is a pretty good ratio. Would go back again if I ever have a reason to be in Jacksonville. Loved the fire fighter theme.

Engine 15 offers a lot of different beers from their brewery and other micro brews. We sampled a number of theirs and none were disappointing! From the stouts to the gose, the beer was excellent. Service was friendly and prompt and the limited menu was impressive.
We highly reccomend Engine 15 for anyone who wants a taste of some good local brews and tasty apps!

Big brewery fan and stop by breweries in every city I visit. Not sure what was going on but not particularly friendly place. Guests were openly aggravated at me for looking at menu over head. Bartender offered no help when I asked about popular beers ( I was ordering a flight). She just gave me a sheet that I filled out. I tried moving to give other guests their space since looking at board over their head was intolerable. But no where else could I see the beer list. Sad, I love what they stand for but if you don't welcome new customers how can you get new customers.

Bartender and angry guests were friends I discovered. Unwelcome was felt. Won't return.

We went here for our first stop on a Jacksonville brew tour. A review said it was a gastropub, but it is not. Beer selection is good, but after trying all the Engine 15 beers we settled on a good old Cigar City Jai Alai. Guest taps are fabulous!! We had chips and beer queso and the Little Piggy Flatbread. Both were ok, but definitely not outstanding. Go for a beer and snack, but do dinner somewhere else.

Really good food. Nice and different menu. Big tv's. Craft beer was really good and I do not like craft beer. Can not wait to go back.

Service was slow and the beer and cider were not worth the trip. Flavors were really bland, there was an unpleasant aroma of mash and we would not return here.
