Great Morning Hike

A very "organic" arboretum. Trail map was easy to follow and the trails were well marked. Diverse plant life that is identified with signs. Very shaded. Donation.

This is one of our favorite places. It's so nice, quiet and relaxing. The trails are nice and our dogs love the walks. The big pond and benches are great to sit and look at.

This place is so beautiful. They have volunteers that keep it clean & are constantly perfecting it. There are so many little paths to different areas. I see wildlife of all kinds here. I love the bridges that go over little streams & cobble stoned paths. We take our dog here all of the time. It is so picturesque bring... More

I guess being from Atlanta I expected a spectacular hiking trail but it was actually kind of creepy.

If you are into running and want to get a nice workout in very little mileage, then these trails are for you. Don't let the fact that all trails combined add to around 3-4 miles altogether deceive you, these trails might be short but they are super challenging (at least for running). A lot of hills, some rooty areas but... More

This quiet sanctuary located in the Arlington area of Jacksonville is worth the suggested donation of $3.00. There is a wide gravel path that encircles the main area. There's lovely Lake Ray in the middle of the site. For the more adventurous, there are side trails that go deeper into the woods. During my 1.5 hour visit, I encountered an... More

If you need a good run in Jacksonville this is as tough as it gets. A sand base with soil and tree roots on top. Tight and twisting trails that go up and down Just a tough, tough course but we'll worth it

Of course, with Florida's weather, the plant life was so green, and the animals were out and bustling. Especially for a park surviving off of donations and volunteer work (which they display a sign showing the next work day) it is lovely and quiet. Definitely snap a picture of that map; though they have clear signage, it's good to know... More

This simple trek turned into an amazing hike for the entire family. There were so many densely covered trails that shielded from the sun. Definitely for all ages. Many trails for different levels. Could be a great trail run as well. Paths all marked.

Our family likes to start a weekend morning on the trails at the Arboreteum. Its very well maintained and despite being in the middle of the suburbs it is very isolated. You feel like you could get lost. It's a good free way to get some exercise!
