My daughter and I had a great morning at BE STILL FLOAT Studio yesterday. With COVID on our minds and our neighborhood pool closed we thought we needed to get out. So thankful we did. If you haven’t heard of it, Floating is inside a REST tank where the temperature holds steady and the salt means that your skin won’t prune. We booked ahead and arrived 15 mins prior to complete the paperwork. If you are just a little anxious about COVID – this studio will completely put you at ease. We had heard from other friends how clean and hygienic the studio is and I must say I felt that the entire FLOATING experience was the most CDC safe and compliant activity I have experienced. Just the fact that you are floating in 1300 pounds of pharmaceutical grade Epson Salt Water (salt kills everything) and filtered 5 times between each customer. Their float solution is more saltier than the Dead Sea. Knowing that that Gina and her team sanitize and disinfect every inch of every surface inside the float cabins between every customer was also extremely reassuring. All staff wear masks and hand sanitizer is used between every interaction. Floating is an amazingly meditative and everyone has their own experience. Escaping the news, noise and stresses of trying to get back to some sort of new COVID normal was such a stress buster. My daughter thought that her mind cleared, her body rested, her heart rate slowed down and a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. BE STILL FLOAT Studio has to be visited to believe how wonderful it is. The staff are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable and the services offered are cutting edge. There is an air of calm and no sense that you are ever being rushed. After floating, your mind and body will thank you. We walked out feeling lighter, happier and more positive than we had during the past 2 months of COVID. We are planning to come back and bring friends to float soon.

My wife and I love to float (also known as floatation, sensory deprivation, isolation tanks, floating, float therapy...) when on vacation - usually at the start of our vacation to reset and acclimate from the hustle and bustle of planes, trains and automobiles. Upon the suggestion from a local Jacksonville friend, we tried Be Still Float Studio. Our experience exceeded our expectations, as it was obvious that a lot of care and attention went in to the beautiful layout and various options for relaxation experiences. While we were most interested in the float tanks, we also tried the massage chair and sound healing bed (would also recommend). We did not try the infrared sauna but it was nice to have that option, as well. I tried the open, circular float tank as I had not done this before. It was very spacious, and both the water and the air temperature were perfect. I especially appreciated that the room was setup to accommodate those with disabilities or mobility issues. My wife tried the cabin style which is quite spacious - you can even stand up inside and not hit your head on the ceiling of it. We both loved our floats. By the way - all amenities are provided within the rooms, including high quality earplugs. The owner Gina was there and was incredibly helpful and friendly. We can see why this is a popular relaxation destination as we left feeling awesome and wanting to tell others about it. Convenient location and parking options.

I’ve heard of sensory deprivation floating before but never in Jacksonville until now! I am a huge fan of Epsom salt baths and have major anxiety and depression disorders, and I have found floating to provide be with a lot of relief for those specific ailments, and more by default (like how it makes my back feel great!). I love what it does for my hair, skin and nails too! I also shared the concern that many people have of feeling claustrophobic in a float tank- the tanks at be still float are so tall you can stand in them tho, and there is one tank that has no ceiling at all, it’s just a circular pool. Highly recommended for anyone trying to chill out!!
