There is a nice variety of creatures- including lions, crocs and gators, elephants, giraffes, monkeys, gorillas, and more. The zoo is somewhat crowded during the warmer months but is very clean. The park costs over $15 but is something that could be explored all day....More

One of the best Zoo's in the USA. The Jacksonville Zoo is always upgrading the area and thinking of the children for there enjoyment. The food is excellent. A must visit. http://jacksonvillezoo.org/ http://www.jacksonvillezoo.org/content.aspx?pageid=15731&cnm=palm%20plaza%20caf%C3%A9

This zoo seems more about getting your money then educating the public. If you want to see sad depressing animals in a beat up old zoo then you'll love this place.

I haven't been to a zoo in over 50 years so I don't have much to compare it to so I'll do my best. The animals were awesome. It requires a whole lot of walking so if you have any problems with your feet, knees,...More

Jacksonville Zoo is busy during the Summer time. I'd say be there about 15 minutes early. They move the lines quickly. Have fun!
