Section of beach that is flat, sandy and uncrowded. Great for surfers and kayakers.

My favorite beach in FL. Great food, great bars, great family or couples area. Beach is wonderful and allows dogs all day. No weekly rentals insures the locals are not overrun with tourists.

A great beach with a slew of touristy shops and yummy restaurants on the boardwalk. The only downside is that parking is often an issue.

Atlantic Beach has the small-town feel nestled within Jacksonville. There are many restaurants and places to shop within the limits of Atlantic Beach. While parking is difficult- you will be towed if the signs are there- the beach is lovely. Nowhere near as busy as...More

I lived in Jacksonville and this was one of my favorite places to go and be in peace. It's not the blue green water that you're likely to see if you go to south Florida, but it definitely serves the purpose. The nightlife around the...More

This is a very long, flat, white sand beach that goes for miles. Lots of small shops and restaurants in the town. Not much to do in the little beach community itself, but a good place to relax for the weekend.

Walking this beach was a joy. Temperature the last in February was in the high 60's to low 70's. Perfect for my husband and myself.

Don't do it. From downtown Jacksonville to Hannah Park on a Friday afternoon will take two hours, if you know where you're going. It will even be difficult to go straight to Atlantic Beach at the foot of Atlantic Boulevard... More
