Wonderful Beach

We visited Jacksonville beach and was very happy with cleanliness and overall experience. The beach was not too crowded and there was on-duty lifeguards stationed in relative close proximity to one another. 10/10 would recommend over Jacksonville beach.

No tourist accomodation or parking

Atlantic Beach is a lovely residential town with narrow quiet streets and upscale homes. But as this is a tourist website, I cannot give Atlantic Beach a high rating as they simply don't encourage or provide for tourism.

The beach is nice but access is limited because there is nowhere to park. There are a few access points but each only has a couple of parking spots and parking on the street is not allowed.

Atlantic Beach does not allow tourist rentals, short term rentals (airbnb) or commercial development outside of a prescribed area bordering Neptune Beach.

All this makes it a less than great place to visit if you don't live there.

This fantastic beach allows you to enjoy casual upscale dining and the beach within steps. Very nice quiet residential area.

Atlantic Beach was my brother's favorite Beach. I loved every minute on the beach. The views were stunning and the shells that I gathered were just lovely. I highly recommend this beach.

Catch the sunrise

I went bright and early and saw people filming and waiting. There were also people just strolling the beautiful beach and even a surfer. Everything a girl from Wisconsin wishes to see in the middle of January (though I would have wished it was a little warmer). The sunrise was amazing and there were a few clouds on the horizon but with the sun coming up behind them, it caused the outline of them to just sparkle like coals in a fire.

Very Nice Beach

We loved this beach. We spent two days laying out on the beach with our picnic bag full of our favorite snacks and beverages. Most importantly the beach was clean and relaxing. We will visit again.

Nice beach area to stroll, work out and enjoy a walk by the shore. Beware of the "man of war" here. Several are washed up the shore and some are even alive. We tried putting some back into the ocean.

Discovery of the beaches on the East Coast

Had a great trip even though it was very rainy but we had a couple of clear days to walk on the beach. Loved Hilton Head, Charleston and Savannah!
