Great family fun

Its difficult to find a place that the whole family could enjoy. Ages ranging from 5years old to adults. We had a private group lesson and lots of practice time. Reasonable rates and great staff.

I took my 2 girls (6&7-1/2) there and had a great time
Been back 4 times and making this a weekend activity for rainy days
At smithpoint the instructors are great and work very well with the kids
Would recommend doing going
The people the shoot there are very aware and Conscience that there were kids there
And made sure that it was a safe environment and experience to remember
Staff is awesome and very knowledge
Can't go wrong
Thank you SPA for a great experience

simply the best on Long Island

I could have gone to two closer shops but word of mouth influenced me. Completely satisfied. My salesman Craig is just topnotch. The owner and his son Jared are fortunate to have Craig and Dave, the mechanic. Jared is a pro archer, and the rest of the clientele take the sport seriously but were fun to chat with. Purchase of a bow gives you free use of their range for a year. Well lighted, easy to pull out arrows. Purchase also included a free lesson and Craig was again exceptional in this capacity. While I had shot a recurve, this was my first compound and while Craig could have steered me to a more expensive bow, he felt the Martin Cougar with its adaptability, much of which negated the need of a bow press, was a better fit for me. Just wait until you shoot it blindfolded (albeit with the target just 5 yards away, lol.) This is simply a method of verifying stance, etc. and is a good aid for a beginner.

Some Rough Areas but Fun Time
Sep 2015 • Friends
Finding the place is tricky because it is off the street and the only hint you're close to it is the sign over the building on the left side that reads "Archery Range" with a left-pointing arrow. Around and in the back of the building it is a little "ghetto-looking" - they could do a little something about that. But once down the stairs and into the sales shop and ranges it is okay. We had a groupon for the 5 family members, and after an effective tutorial by the lovely Laura we practiced for an hour - even our 75 year old mother/mother-in-law! It was a fun birthday event and all agreed we would give it a go again in the future.
