Fire island beaches are the spectacular jewel of the south shore of Long Island New York. The beautiful sandy beaches line the barrier island. Each town on fire island has its own unique draw-some are quiet, some have bars and restaurants that are lively. Find one that you love !

You must visit Long Island with Fire Island one of the places on your list to see. Fire Island has the Atlantic Ocean views on one side and the Great South Bay on the other side. Ferries at always available if you are able to access the island by your own boat. Fire Island has many different towns offering food and fun. Well worth the visit.

Always an amazing time at Fire Island whether you check out the grill dockside or you go to the Casino , some of the greatest refreshing summer cocktails and live bands every Sunday . Definitely feels like a staycation you do not want to leave to go home.

Beautiful island and beautiful view of the ocean which is separated into towns. Everything you might want. A beautiful scenic view, white sand, usually blue water, often you will see deer roaming the beach and a view of the Fire Island Lighthouse. Lots of board walk you can take to see back in the grassy areas if you want to visit the lighthouse. Often you will see nude bathers on the beach in front of the Lighthouse. You may not want to bring the children in the vicinity of the Lighthouse if nudity bothers you. If you take the bridge over to Fire Island, there are parking fields available at a cost. If you walk along the water line, it takes about an hour to get to the first town. They have a restaurant, deli type store and a motel. In the summer you often find venders along the boardwalk. Otherwise you can take a ferry from the mainland and you have your choice of locations depending where you pick up the ferry.

Great place to visit. Whether you go by boat or ferry, I highly recommend. Important if you don't have a house to go to make sure the beach town you go to has public bathrooms/ showers.
