We didn't know FDR's "home" was owned by Sarah. It's a beautiful place, probably typical of the ultra-wealthy of the era.

Once seen, go to Eleanor Roosevelt's home. BTW, the Park Rangers were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. SO glad we went!

The FDR boyhood home is a terrific place to tour. You have access to all the bedrooms, which can't be said about some other presidential homes. The tour of the home provides good insights into the life of the president, his wife, and family. FDR...More

A treat for any student of history. Walking through the home where FDR grew up and lived his entire life is a joy that provides a lot of perspective on the man. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

The house tour is an integral part of the overall experience. A beautiful, modest house, at least compared to the Vanderbilt Museum. It was an enjoyable tour, given by a knowledgeable docent. The grounds are beautiful, including the barn.

The park rangers were filled with lots of interesting knowledge about the house and grounds! The house was filled with beautiful pieces that are original to the house. The view behind the house overlooks the Hudson River Valley and is a must see!
