We went looking for the grave of Jennie Wade and wished someone could have told us where it is in this very large and hilly cemetery. Good news is that we drove in the main gates and instinctively turned right and up the hill knowing...More

Evergreen cemetery is the final resting place of Jennie Wade only civillian killed during the battle. There are also grave stones of those that fought in the war buried here as well. It is a nice addition to walk through the history of Gettysburg.

We stopped here to pay our respects to Jennie Wade. It was easy to locate her grave due to the flagpole on display. The grounds are right next to the National Cemetery. It is well kept and very historic.

It's small but has history, actual fighting look place around the trees and headstones. It's worth the quick drive around and of course stop to see Jennie Wade.

Because part of the Gettysburg battle occurred at the Cemetery -- and there are monuments to the battle in the cemetery -- it's well worth making sure that this is part of your Gettysburg visit.

None. So far as I know, there are no tours of Evergreen- it's a public cemetery.
