What a great walking ghost tour! Father Fred was our guide. He was passionate and genuine with his story telling of several Gettysburg ghosts. It was also awesome to shake the hand of the man who shook the hand of the man who shook the hand of the man who shook the hand of Abraham Lincoln. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Father Fred as your guide.

We had a Groupon for the “Haunted Houses” tour. Make sure you know what you are booking and what it includes. I seem some reviews saying it was boring or not what they expected. They offer several tours. This tour was a short walking tour viewing some homes that are haunted. Professor George was our guide. This tour does not go into any houses or use any devices to find ghosts. It is more of a historical walking tour with the guide sharing stories about things that happened in these homes/reports of hauntings. If you are looking for something different look at the other tours they offer.

We went on two walking tours, the spooky alley tour and the one that goes up to the orphanage with father Fred. Although it was a short tour in distance, Father Fred was extremely entertaining. He told great stories, some I’d never heard before and entertained our questions, He told us about his family’s own history in Gettysburg. Man what a story. I’ll never forget father Fred, made the trip so fun n we had a 15 and 19 year old with us. They loved it!

The Bloody Cemetery Tour was not at all what we expected. Our group had adults and children. When I bought tickets I inquired if this tour would be appropriate and interesting for the kids in our group. I was told it would be fine. The tour guide was a former college professor and talked a little about ghosts veering off into totally unrelated topics. I think we heard about one ghost/spirit. We walked perhaps 100 yards from the starting point and heard nothing that was remotely haunting. The kids were so bored they sat on the sidewalk basically along the busy road playing in the dirt. They were very respectful as they’ve been taught but so disappointed. As an adult I was also extremely disappointed.
Perhaps we chose the wrong tour but I would not recommend this tour to anyone.
Near the end of the talk the professor was giving restaurant recommendations and his grand finale was to basically ask for a tip.

My husband and I did the Spooky Alley Tour after finding a great deal on Groupon. It was a beautiful night out and we were very much looking forward to the tour. Father Fred was our guide and while it started out good, it quickly went into a downward spiral as he kept going off to left field when he was talking, I feel we didn't get very much information as far as "Spooky" stories and just alot of random conversation. Our 1 hour tour turned into TWO Hours as Father Fred talked that much! While he was totally a super nice guy, I feel that we just did not get the experience that we were looking for. Also, just be aware that this is hardly a walking tour! You go to 3 places within several steps of each other. We spent almost the whole 2 hours just standing there listening to him ramble on. I am very disappointed in our experience.

We did the Groupon tour. Just make sure that you know what you’re booking because it is short you walk up and down one street however they do you have other chores that you can take. Even though the tour was short we did get activity and the guide was awesome! We had Valerie fire tour guide and she made it fun and her stories are awesome if you do book the Groupon tour make sure you get Valerie!

We did the Spooky Dobbin Alley tour with Fr Fred and enjoyed his story telling and the fresh perspective. We have done most tours in town over the years and this was the first time we heard the stories shared in this tour.

I will say this might be especially good for families and those who don't want to walk far. Just like others said in their review, do your research before booking! We did and knew exactly what to expect and were not disappointed. Bonnie was also very helpful with booking! We will definitely do more tours with them in the future.

I did the Haunted Gettysburg Tours "Bloody Cemetery Hill" tour @ 8:30pm with my husband and 2 friends. The tour guide, Dwight, was very knowledgeable about the history and took us by several "haunted" houses and places, including the 1863 Hotel, the house where Jenny Wade was shot and killed, and the creepy children's orphanage known as the National Homestead, which has a dark past. I took a picture of the orphanage from across the street and sure enough, I captured what looked like a woman in the window. I didn't see her at first, but after I took my pictures and was comparing them to some my husband took, I saw her. Someone asked me if I thought it might be a mannequin, but there was no figure in my husband's pictures or the pictures others on the tour took. See if you can find the ghost woman in the window!

We did the Haunted Tour of the Orphanage and Jenny Wade home combo, Our guide was MARVELOUS! Very engaging and friendly. The stories about the children were absolutely heart breaking. I was wearing a backpack at the time and felt someone tug on it, though there was nobody directly behind me. Overall, an interesting experience.

We were amazed at all of Gettysburgs haunted history. Professor George was our incredible tour guide. He was engaging, interesting and very respectful. We will be back to visit again and most definitely will request another tour with the Professor. It was the best way to spend our evening on the 4th of July.
