My husband and I decided to do a quick trip this weekend for my birthday. I wanted to do a ghost hunt so badly and for my birthday I treated myself and my husband to this experience. It was worth the price and was incredible for a first time ghost hunting experience! We went with Rob who was so fantastic as a tour guide and let us know some information about the places we investigate but not too much so we could experience things for ourselves. There were a few other families / couples, a nice sized group to be able to explore individually and collaborate.
I signed us up for the Xtreme ghost hunt that was 2 locations, 7-10pm. We were NOT disappointed. We got so much out of it. I am a believer and my husband a sceptic but after our experience my husband was a little less sceptic. He loved it as much as I did even doing in with the belief that everything can be explained.
Over all the big take aways from this trip: it was fun and the leader was knowledgeable and so helpful, all the ghost hunting equipment is provided and explained, Rob helps with your investigation, we got a certificate for completing the hunt, the price for $55 a person was worth it, in a few months we will receive a file of our investigation with EVP, audio recordings, photos, videos etc. I can not wait to get that back and I can’t wait to surprise my sister with this trip.
While you might not always get evidence or see/ experience anything it is worth it to check out. You never know who or what you’ll encounter and truly the people made it so much fun. Also, they offer to do private overnight investigations! Worth looking into if you’re into all of this.

i visited gettysburg with my fam at the end of july and it was amazingggg. while out to eat, we got a little map of the city and decided to do a ghost tour because they sounded pretty cool. it was a little pricey so i was worried it wouldn’t be worth it. i saw some of the tour leaders during the day (ours was a 9:30pm) and they just didn’t seem engaging or very entertaining at all. so i was just wasn’t all too excited about it. well, while waiting in line, a very energetic, loud, funny, enthusiastic man pops up. our tour guide. score. he was amazing. he told some great stories and his personality was just all together marvelous. major finn deserves more than just a round of applause he was fantastic and i’m so glad he was our tour guide because in the end, it was SO worth it. thank you major finn and keep up the amazing attitude.

My girlfriend and I were in Gettysburg over Halloween weekend and we decided to use Gettysburg Ghost Tours as our Ghostly Guides around town. We were so excited about it that we booked ALL THREE tours. We did "The Battlecry" on 10/30, and Major Finn was our Guide. He was a thoroughly entertaining and outgoing storyteller and made our tour very fun. So much so that we didn't want it to end.
On Halloween, it was a spooky, rainy night. Bob was our Guide for both "The Black Cat" and "East Cemetary Hill" tours. Bob was a fantastic storyteller and took us to many of the most haunted places in town. Very enjoyable. Plus, on that night, my girlfriend snapped a photo of "the girl in the window" at the Dobbin House. Even Bob and the employees at the Ghost Tour office were impressed. I would highly recommend using this company for all of your paranormal needs in Gettysburg...

Okay… but not as advertised. Booked the 1 hour East Cemetery Hill tour, Which their website says it is the Jennie Wade house, the orphanage, and three local cemeteries
I booked this tour for Halloween night at 8PM. The tour guide, Rob, it was very good and was in period costume which was a nice touch. Both the Jenny Wade house and the orphanage are right up the street from where the tour begins. It was raining, but that wasn’t a problem and Rob spoke loudly and was easy to understand, he paused when any loud street traffic came by and waited, and walked at an even pace so as not to leave anyone behind. I enjoyed his presentation.
However, we spent the whole time at the Jennie Wade house and the orphanage and never went to any cemeteries. From the backyard of the orphanage Rob pointed out the national cemetery from there. But it was dark so you couldn’t really see anything. And about at that point of the tour of the hour was up.
Expected to actually walk through three local cemeteries.
So if you’re looking to visit cemeteries I can’t recommend this tour. For the total cost of $16 it was OK, but a bit disappointing.

We did the "Battlecry" tour which amounted to walking up the street about two blocks and back again. We did not go inside any buildings. We just stood outside of about two restaurants and two sketchy motels. Our poor tour guide (older lady) seemed very out of breath the whole time and was a bit difficult to hear. Plus the group was too large - maybe 30 people? So if you want to spend $14 pp to walk 2 blocks, stand out in front of a restaurant peering in while people eat their dinner or listen to the rantings of a drunk guy sitting outside his sketchy motel room, then this is for you. I really don't like leaving 'meh' reviews, but I think people should know what to expect.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I expected a little more given how many positive reviews this place has. The price on the website said $10 but charged 14.95 to actually pay it. Sloppy not to keep the website updated. I did the East Cemetery tour and basically walked away feeling like I’d had the snake oil salesman’s version of a ghost tour. Stories were okay, sites were limited at best, and it was all rather repetitious. Overall it was okay, but I won’t do it again and I won’t recommend this to anyone. The highlight was seeing the Zoltar fortune machine out front and I could’ve seen that just walking down the street.

We joined the 9:30 PM East Cemetery Hill tour on Halloween. Our guide was Bob who was very engaging and knowledgeable about the area. The tour included the Jenny Wade house, the orphanage and the cemetery. I had known the basics of Jenny Wade and the orphanage but Bob supplied a lot of new detail which was fascinating. We did spend most of the time across from Jenny Wade House and in front of the orphanage buildings. I hadn't known there were two buildings for it.
We didn't go inside the cemetery because as far as I know pretty much every cemetery prohibits entry after dark. We remained outside the cemetery in the back of one of the orphanage buildings and he told us a story of a cemetery ghost as well as ghosts of the orphanage.
We think it was well worth. Do be advised that there's a slightly sloping terrain you have to go down to the back of the orphanage if you have any trouble walking, especially in the dark.
Husband and I are already planning to do more tours with them.

My friend and I belong to a huge historical paranormal group and decided to go to Gettysburg and rate all the ghost tours in town. We started here first. We went on the black cat tour, which is a very odd name given where we were. Major Finn was our tour guide. Major Finn was extremely enthusiastic but very LOUD, way too loud. He used a portable mic system which was totally unnecessary. It was like he was in competition with all the other story tellers in town that night. His stories were so OLD...you can probably read them in any ghost story book sold in Gettysburg. Does this tour company not know any new ghost stories? The bigger problem was the constant bragging and stories that Major Finn told of his ancestors which was not what we paid for. In between each stop of the tour Major Finn thought it was necessary to crack jokes, which were cheesy and not funny. So we basically paid to hear stories that were old and way too familiar, not scary, and worse of all forced to hear a bragging session of someone's ancestors. We highly suggest if you do go on any tours this company offers, beware of Major Finn. If at all possible, ask for another tour guide. Hopefully they will tell you what you want to hear in the first place...fresh scary true ghost stories!

**This company no longer accepts Groupon Deals** Just to warn everyone as they are still listed on Groupon. After purchasing, we were told that they are no longer accepted, and we’d need to contact Groupon for a refund. Annoying, however, that was the least of our concerns.
My husband and I decided to still do a tour and booked a 9pm tour over the phone. We arrived, admittedly close to the tour time, around 8:55pm and there was a large group of people out front. We went inside to pay and I specifically asked if we should join the group outside and was told yes. When we stepped out, everyone was gone. I looked at my phone as the time switched from 8:59 to 9:00pm. So again close, but not late by any means. We heard everyone behind the building so we went to the back and after talking with the guide, discovered that that was a ghost investigation (not the tour we signed up for), and he suggested we go back to the front and our tour guide would be there shortly. After a few minutes, a tour guide came up, but he was with the 9:30 group. He mentioned it was odd that the 9pm tour guide was late, but kindly offered to let us join his group instead. We might’ve considered except that we had already done that specific tour and it was getting late for us (I’m pregnant). Around 9:20, we went inside to ask if our guide could be contacted. The girl at the desk, who was extremely unfriendly even from the beginning did some eye rolling and looking around, and eventually determined that he had already left with his group and he had come in earlier to check his list of patrons (we should’ve been on it since we booked ahead of time over the phone). At this point, we requested a refund. She said she text the owner, and after a couple of minutes said that we could not be refunded for something out of their control. She also never offered another tour or date as an option. The answer was just no. I could understand if there was bad weather (they are rain or shine) and we opted not to go. But some of this was in their control and very disappointing coming from the owner. I would think that, especially during these challenging times, customer service would be a top priority. We were returning customers and would’ve probably continued to come back with each visit, however we will not any longer.
I do want to mention that both of the guides we spoke to outside were very friendly and professional.

I planned an impromptu overnight trip to Gettysburg with my two daughters (2 and 10) and am so glad we were able to do this ghost tour! My 10yo went on her first ghost tour last year in Harpers Ferry and loved it so I wanted to book another during this trip. I was happy to find that these tours were available at various times because the 2yo would not have done well past her bedtime. We chose the 6pm tour and Cedrick was our guide. He was great! Very interactive with the audience, funny, and super knowledgeable. We really enjoyed listening to him- you can tell he loves what he does. Even though it wasn’t as spooky since it was still daylight, this option was great for us and we had a fun time. Definitely recommend this ghost tour!

I've been waiting for a 50% discount/coupon in the mail for over a week now. The manager responded to my review with a 180 degree recollection of what transpired during an intense ghost hunt (funny thing is, I could hear the entire conversation when our guide was on the phone with their main office that night, so very disappointed in the blatant lies that are allowed to be put on this site). Additionally, there should be a response option on this site to call out any blatant mismanagement like at this place. So to circle back, when is that 50% discount/coupon coming? $162.40 at 50% comes to $81.20 to help expedite it.
I've been waiting for a refund from an accidental double internet purchase mistake since October 4th and I keep getting responses from the staff telling me that my refund is in process. It doesn't take this long to receive a refund on my credit card. Please advise.

I’m sorry if that hadn’t gone through yet. If we were made aware of it the day of the transaction we could have simply done it on the spot. Unfortunately when it’s after the fact it takes 30 days to cut a refund check. Please give us a call at the shop so we can double check your address. Thank you In advance.

I bought my tickets from Groupon and was able to call the day that my nephew and I wanted to go on our tour. It was super easy and the tour was worth it.
