This was our third horseback tour with Hickory Hollow Tours. Pam is an excellent host and a wonderful caretaker of her beloved horses. Each of our rides had a different tour guide that offered different information with a flare of humor mixed in. I would highly recommend riding with Pam. you won't be disappointed with the two hours spent on a horse. A wonderful way to see the Battlefield!

What wonderful horses, guides. wranglers and owner! The owner, Pam, met us at the departure point and very congenially, then covered a number of safety procedures, ending with a cheery "Bon Voyage!" Sarah then taught us some very important facts about equine behavior... The views really WERE stunning and the guide, mesmerizing clear through the earbuds. Jess was the best 'drag rider' EVER keeping us all on the straight and narrow with the occasional, "Pull on your right rain and squeeze with your left leg!" to keep Sunny and Teddy Bear from wandering onto the grass for a snack 😁

Pam at Hickory Hollow Farms was very communicative. She always responded promptly to my texts/emails. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride! We had 6 of our granddaughters with us. Their ages were ranging from 12-16 Our groups skill level was from very knowledgeable and skilled in riding- to no experience in riding. They chose horses appropriate for each person. The guide was knowledgeable We had a wonderful day!

As horse owners ourselves, we have knowledge of equestrian facilities, and this organization is top notch! The horses were in excellent condition, well trained, and seemed to enjoy their job. The ride was very well organized, and Pam and her wranglers were diligent about providing a safe ride. Our licensed tour guide was so impressive! Her fascinating narrative drew us into the world of that time and helped us imagine what it might have been like to be an individual experiencing the horror of this battle.

Wonderful your. We had a great time and learned a lot. This tour has very informative and caring employees. They took a lot of care with matching horses to riders. The tour guide was easy to understand and brought everything to life. As you were riding and her she was talking I could see the battles before me. Great job! Highly recommend.

The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They made sure to match the horse with the person. The horses were very well trained with excellent temperaments; good for experienced or first-time riders. It is an experience well worth it!

We had an amazing ride with Pam and her team! My biggest concern was keeping my kids safe and having a good time, and Pam and her wranglers were right on the same page. We had a blast, and want to go back next year. Our tour guide was also excellent - his retelling of the Battle of Gettysburg was enjoyable, and I appreciated his assistance with instructing us on the horses.

Hickory Hollow came highly recommended by a family member who had a great horseback riding experience on the Confederate side of the Gettysburg battlefield with them. We originally booked our ride 2.5 weeks in advance for 12:30 pm and the day before, Hickory called to see if we could go earlier due to severe heat/humidity so their horses could be done earlier. That shows genuine concern for their horses! We were able to reschedule to 9:00 am and had a fantastic time! All of the staff got us set up and made sure we (riders and horses) were safe from start to finish. The ride to and from the sites was totally cool and the earlier start time was the right move on that hot/humid day. Couldn’t have been better!! Horses, Wranglers and Guide all excellent! Highly recommend it ! Everyone went out of their way to make sure that the riders had a safe and enjoyable experience. I must say that it was a surreal experience to ride along the same ground where so many men fought and died.
