On November 7, 2015 the battles fought on this historic site came alive as we rode horseback over the same routes as the Union and Confederate troops. Although our group numbered fifteen, the manner in which the tour was conducted made each of us feel like an intimate part of the whole, children and adults alike. The tour operators were... More

My wife and I took our 8-year girl on the 2 hour ride with the battlefield guide. Our 13-year old went with us. We loved it. The horses were easy to ride and everything was done with safety in mind. The girls are big history buffs, but really saw the battlefield from a whole in prospective.

From start to finish this was the most wonderful experience of our trip.....We have never ridden horses before and were a little nervous....The owner and works made us very comfortable and made sure we were having a great time.....at one point our teenage daughters horse was to much for her to handle and they immediately took care of the situation... My friends and I went horseback riding on November 7, a beautiful Fall day. The experience was amazing. The horses are very well maintained and trained. The trip through the Gettysburg Battlefield was magical. The licensed guide was very well informed on the Gettysburg Battle and knew all the landmarks. I highly recommend this company for horseback riding.

We could not have been any more pleased with our battlefield tour of Gettysburg with Hickory Hollow. The owner was great, the handlers were great, the tour guide was great and the horses were great! Both my husband and I give them an A+. It was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

What a great way to see the Battlefields from such a unique perspective! Though the woods and at the Confederate Line you get to realy feel what it was like to be on horseback and not be able to see what lies over the hill. October is so spectacular for this tour as well. Well worth the price.

This is an excellent tour to do if you love horses AND the history of the Gettysburg Battlefield..It's great for everyone..even if you haven't ever ridden a horse. It is limited to a walk so don't expect to be out trotting and cantering..Single File is the rule. You are accompanied by a Park Ranger who meticulously recounts the events of... More

My husband and I took the battlefield ride with Hickory Hollow on October 23, 2015. Pam and Sara and our battlefield guide were incredible. The horses are so well cared for and trained. It was the best experience and the best way to see the battlefields. We will come back to Gettysburg and do this again! Debbie

Reservations are highly recommended, but we happened to luck out and join a tour that was just getting ready to head out on the trail. Everyone we met was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The horses were perfect for riders of any skill or experience level. This was a great experience all around!

We started out our visit to Gettysburg with a guided tour with Hickory Hollow. This was my first time riding a horse and Pam and her team did a great job explaining my horse's demeanor and how to handle him. They were also great at keeping the tour on together and safe across roads, etc, despite Pam's mount undergoing some... More
