For anyone who has a hunger for history, or an inquisitive mind about how we began, this is the tour to take! Our guide was phenomenal. He brought us right to the brink--making us feel as though we could SEE the action itself as it was happening. His knowledge was remarkable. The most entertaining and informative 2+ hours I have... We took this tour November 29, 2016. Our tour guide, Don, would have been perfect for a bus load of 3d graders, but was totally inappropriate for adults. He was in our faces and loud, filled with trivia while he often neglected to pass on more pertinent nformation (such as 'we are now driving along Seminary ridge..."). Don spent most... More

Sorry to hear that the tour was not up to par. Unfortunately, the Licensed Battlefield Guides are issued by the Gettysburg National Military Park and we have no control over who they issue. All guides tell their stories differently. We will pass this information along to the proper people involved to take steps in eliminating this issue. If you ever... More

Yes, I've taken the GBBT before but this time it was really terrific due largely to the outstanding tour guide Paul. Gene did an admirable service as our driver. Paul informed us of little known facts of the horrific battle. Thanks again, Paul-it was a terrific time!

We just loved this tour Dennis our guide was great the bus was clean and on time. The tour was 2 hours and covered all the important milestones of the Battle of Gettysburg. I would suggest always having a licensed guide the have to go through many hours of training and tests.

Took the bus tour this past weekend Oct 30th with my girlfriend - her first visit to Gettysburg. Very informative and a good overall tour of the battlefield. I have been on this tour before and have different licensed guides, who all provide their own perspective of the three day battle. This time we had Dave. He had several artifacts... More

There are several options for touring Gettysburg. By far the best choice is to take the National Park Service bus tour or, if as we were you are on a tour bus, have a their guide lead the tour. The battlefield itself covers approximately 30,000 acres, including large portions of the original town of Gettysburg. There are thousands of monuments... More

Very Informative! Would have like to have more time at little round top. I didn't get to go back and spend more time as my husband wanted to get home.

I was told there are over 20 miles of battlefield surrounding Gettysburg, and when you get there, you see many cemetaries and monuments, and it can be overwhelming as to where to even begin. That's why I thought this tour would be perfect, to give us a great overview of the events that took place here, and it was something... More
