This monument is special, because it lists all the PA soldiers who fought during the war. If you had a PA soldier ancestor, you'll want to find his name. In addition, there's a staircase to the top. There are some wonderful vista views to behold.

This is the biggest memorial on the battlefield. PA lost 35.000 men in the three day battle. This majestic memorial brings honor to our fellow state citizens who gave their all in desperate times! Moving experience!

The plaques contain the names of those who served. It was a somber reminder of the price that was paid. The view on the top deck presented was also a reminder of what the locals endured.

Pennsylvania Monument is the largest monument on the Gettysburg Battlefield. Several great monuments. Can be walked into and has stairs to upper lookout. Great for children.

This structure is immense. If you are brave you can walk up the spiral staircase and get on the top of the monument. Worth seeing.

Not sure I understand the entire context of the question. The artillery on display around the monument is typical of Civil War parks. There are 12 pdr Napoleans and 3" rifles. Throughout Gettysburg National Military there... More
