The “Ghosts of Gettysburg Tours” are best described as a combination of history and mystery. The battle that took place in Gettysburg was horrific. We do our best to treat the men who gave their lives with the respect they deserve. We use ghost stories, as relayed to Mr. Nesbitt by those who have experienced them, to explore what happened here. Anyone can make up a scary ghost story, but somehow, knowing that people experienced the ghostly happenings that our guides describe, has to make one wonder if an encounter is in your own future! Our tours include as much of the town as can be walked comfortably. The buildings in Gettysburg are all privately owned, but from what we've been told, just as many ghosts are wandering the streets as are hanging out within four walls! If you're looking for a "halloween haunted house" kind of experience, this is not the tour for you!

We (two adults and two teens) participated in a ghost tour at 9:45 on a Wednesday evening. The tour guide was pleasant and personable (His name was Ray). We met in the back courtyard of the Ghosts of Gettysburg building. Ray kept our attention at every stop. We may have also had a paranormal encounter as one of us had... More

We took the candlelight tour and it was really good. Our guide was informative, engaging and interesting. We stopped several times to discuss different things including a church, as well as different spots at the college. She told numerous tales of peoples experiences. We've done 3 tours and this was by far the best. We covered way more ground that... More

We took the 9:45 Baltimore Street tour which was a great idea as it was dark and just right for storytelling. Annie, our tour guide, was excellent at dramatizing the history as well as the legends surrounding the Gettysburg battles. My husband and I, our teens and our 9-year-old were all entertained - not an easy feat with the diversity... More

Ron was our tour guide for the evening. He was wonderful! The fireworks began and he graciously stopped the tour so we could view them! We then continued and completed the the evening. He was very knowledgable and informative. He presented us with history as well as some scary stories. Would recommend him!

This 1 hour tour began at 8pm, prior to sunset and perhaps this set the overall tone for the walk. The tour included about 5 stops at local properties along Baltimore Street. Baltimore Street happens to be a very busy road, tractor trailer trucks, motorcycles, cars, and so forth. The road noise was extremely distracting. The stops were at historic... More

We loved this tour! We took our 2 kids who are 7 and 4. They really enjoyed the stories. It wasn't scary, but very interesting. Our guide was a very good story teller and he also mixed in history to go along with the buildings we passed. This is a great tour to take!

This tour was fantastic. As we walked through the town, there were no less than 10 ghost-related offerings. As one of the most haunted places in America, they are really capitalizing on the energy. We were told by a friend who lives in town that this is the best one, so we decided to try it. We opted for the... More

What a great way to spend a Friday night during the anniversary! Rich did a great job sharing fun, and at times creepy, stories. Very professional and very entertaining!

I would like to compliment Anne for her phenomenal work during our middle school ghost tour. My school has been participating in ghost tours at Gettysburg for 16 years and this year's experience was by far the most rewarding. I credit this to our guide for her sincerity, authenticity, and patience. If you are preparing for a school field trip... More

Happy to hear that Anne kept your group engaged! Thank you for taking the time to let us know and for the recommendation! Many of our guides are teachers, so working with school groups is a natural transition. We look forward to working with your groups in the future! More

Was in Gettysburg for the Ciderfest (which was Awesome). Decided to do a ghost tour. This was a glorified story hour. Felt like I was walking around with the librarian at the library. Not sure what I was expecting but this was not it. My Daughter and son in law had done this tour before and said it was more... More

The basis of our tours is storytelling utilizing a combination of history and ghost stories. Our goal is two-fold: entertain our guests and impart knowledge about the unique history of Gettysburg. Feedback from our visitors is very important to us, but I cannot tell which of our tours you took or who your guide was. Story delivery style can vary... More
