South Mountain reservation is a beautiful Oasis in Essex County New Jersey. The main street through the reservation is a lovely curving road that is very scenic. There's lots of great hiking trails and places to explore.

I love coming to the reservation to sit and read, or take a nice walk. I don’t have a dog but i’ve noticed they have a nice dog park as well. Also if you enjoy a hike they also have a waterfall.

S. Mt. Res is an amazing area in the middle of West Orange/Maplewood/Millburn. Excellent trails to run on. Great for family hikes. It even has a dog park.
