We love visiting places like this. During Christmas time it is a neat Christmas Village. Plenty of pop up tents with small shops. They also have an ice skating rink. Plenty of fun to be had. They also have a large Christmas tree on the City Half ground along with a nice light show.

I have noticed there are a lot of lovebirds at Temple!! If you are a bird enthusiast I’m obviously not talking about the parrot because I don’t go to bird school!! What I’m saying is that people who are together romantically always hold hands and sometimes do PDAs!! I don’t understanding hands because I know moms do it when their kids are in 2nd grade!! I am going on this rant because this area is where a ton of the lovebirds get off the subway to go on dates!! I know they have ice skating and events which people go together to!! I happen to be a fan of flying solo and I go to center city a good amount alone!! I enjoy sitting near here and looking at the skyscrapers and the fountains!! It is a good place to be and it is a vibe!!

It's not big but it is beautifully maintained and has a lot of exhibits and events going on. Kids would love the water fountain area.

This is a very cool park in the heart of Philadelphia. What a treasure and to think we were just out for a walk. Very cool place to just hang out.

I love this park. It is fun and refreshing in the summer when the fountains can cool you, seasonal shopping for the Holidays, and other fun activities in between. Right next to City Hall where you can also go for great tours.

Dilworth Park is an oasis next to Philly's historical City Hall surrounded by what is probably the busiest traffic circle ( Market & Broad St.) in the city.

It is strongly advisable to have your head on a swivel and obey pedestrian crossing signals.

Once there you are treated with a closeup of City Hall and a view of the whirling traffic circling the building

This is located outside of City Hall downtown.
During our visit to Philadephia we crossed this park many times and there was always people making use of this multi use park.
There is seating in different areas around the outer edge and some with shading, a large water pad and in the evenings they had ‘Summer in the City’ with different activities on select evenings.
While we were there the events were exercise, musical event, wine/beer event.
It was being enjoyed by all and was very clean.
The water pad fountain area you can walk through and kids were cooling off in it.
Spectacular blooming hydrangeas in some seating areas.
Don't miss checking it out if you are visiting downtown and looking for a people place.

The city has done a wonderful job in Dilworth Park. In the summer the water fountains are a fun attraction for kids to play in and in the winter the ice skating rink and shops are fun to visit. Or just sit on one of the benches and relax. There is something going on regularly here, as well as in the adjacent Love Park.

Now a bustling area since the area was redone some years ago. In the summer, sprinkler fountain for the kids to enjoy (and for adults - summer in the city can be soupy!) In the cold months, ice skating & craft markets take over. Always café food available.
