The Lush Spa is really a nice concept and very different from traditional spas. It's very unique, cozy and also relaxing. I had two treatments and both of my therapists were kind, friendly and did a great job. It's a nice treat for yourself and definitely worth a visit in Philadelphia.

I already love Lush's homemade cosmetics, so wanted to try their spa. It was fantastic!! The store is downstairs and is filled with excitement and music and people, then the therapist calls your name and your are taken through a door. When that door shuts behind you, you are in a quiet, peaceful English cottage kitchen. The therapist, Alyssa, was fabulous. The environment was calming and quiet and relaxing. I almost forgot I was in the US until I walked out into the store again. This was the most wonderful experience! I loved it as much as I love the cosmetics. You have to try it.

I was a bit disappointed. Lush products are awesome, and there are only two spas in the US, so I had to give this a try. While I'm glad I experienced it, I am not sure who came up with the pricing. The service I got (synethesia) was 80 or 90 minutes and actually ended up costing more than the 80 minute hot stone massage I get at the Mandarin (which includes variety of snacks, crystal steam room, relaxation couches and vitality pool). While I am happy to sacrifice amenities, there just wasn't enough to justify the price here for me.

The spa is located above the Lush store. It's in a higher end location of Philly. The waiting area is a kitchen table and the room has quirky cottage-like decor. I was told all of the stuff is from a second hand store. My treatment included getting to the bottom of how I wanted to feel when I was done and that meant picking one of seven words, then picking a potion (which would brew in the massage room which was cool!) which then dictated the type of massage bar used and tea served later on.

The synethesia treatment is a milder pressure. At the end you can take a bath, but you have to let them know when booking the service that you want to do it so you can be in a room with a tub. You then can pick a Lush bath bomb from their selection for your bath (although the newer bombs were not available). If you take a bath, do not step right in like I did. The tech ran the water for me, and when I stepped in, it was boiling hot. I burnt my feet and part legs, tried to quickly get out and because of all the massage bar on me, I wiped out on the floor and slid across the room. My legs are still very pink. So test the water before you get in.

At the end of the treatment, you go to a sitting area (small second hand couch) where you can have a cup of tea. They also give you the same massage bar used for the service.

If you don't take a bath, you can take a shower and it is stocked with Lush products you can use.

The service is subject to Philadelphia tax and once you add on tip, it's a hefty amount. Overall while I love Lush products, I think the services are priced about 25% too high for the location and what you actually get.

Went today with my daughter for her birthday. I had the Comforter with Adrienne. She was fabulous and the chocolate scrub was to die for. My daughter had Memories for the Good Hour. Said it was the best massage she ever had! Highly recommend

A wonderful afternoon with girlfriends checking out The Lush Spa. Ive been to spas all over the country - a fetish of mine on business trips - but The Lush Spa has spoiled me. The explanation of what was going to be done during The Spell (my treatment) was perfect. We met our therapists in the country kitchen. Wrote our worries on a scrap of paper and burned it in a teapot. How refreshing. The spa room, was beautifully appointed in English country. But the treatment....long, unhurries and Augell has the BEST hands! I could have stayed there all day! Next time I will book a complimentary bath ahead of time.

I loved the special attention. Loved the the fact that nothing was rushed.

Wonderful SPA and I'll be back!!!

You must go to any Lush store in the USA or out of the country , like the one in Zurich. However this one is very special. The products are superb, and you can test them fully during your visit. Soaps, bath bombs, lotions and my favorite shower gels. I use " beautiful" every day. In Philadelphia there is a spa!!! Yes spa. Make sure you visit the kitchen! Must go and see what I mean. It's an experience. Ask for Thereas too!

If you’ve not heard of or been to Lush it’s an amazing wonderland of bath and cosmetic treats for kids of all ages. If you’ve not heard of Lush Spa, you are not alone, there are only two in the United States. One spa is located in New York City and the other in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

After much anticipation we were able to experience Lush Spa in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for ourselves! This was a spa experience unlike any other. Both Jessica and I scheduled appointments for an indulgent massage relaxingly named, “The Comforter”.

The treatment began with an invitation to Lush’s “kitchen” where our therapists explained the products to be used for our treatment. Next we were invited to our treatment rooms which included light, sound and scent. The treatments are set to their own soundtrack and not your typical spa-type, new age music. Our particular treatment soundtrack included songs like; Pure Imagination (from the Willy Wonka soundtrack), Close to You, Moon River and a few other familiar tunes. The treatment room was set with vibrant, yet soothing, lights and twinkling stars on the ceiling.
The folks we met at Lush were outstanding. We could tell they were proud to work for such a unique company and were extremely knowledgeable about the products and were committed to creating a distinct experience. Their excitement was contagious.
