Great night seeing a great show (Book of Mormon). Staff was friendly and seats were fairly comfortable.

I purchased last minute tickets to see Book of Mormon with hubby and teen daughter. Pros were that it was easy to get in and they helped me figure out what to do with hubby's ticket while he parked and me and my daughter got seated. Hubby was able to get his ticket from will call and get seated just... More

The Forrest Theater is certainly a " grande damn" of theaters. Very oppulent decor and intimate. However the seats are very narrow and close together. Imagine seating that made economy airline seats seem spacious. We enjoyred The Book of Mormon but my companion, who currently uses a cane, was disappointed to find that the theater does not have an elevator.... More

We went to the Forrest Theater to see The Book of Mormon; the seats were so small and uncomfortable with no leg room that it made us enjoy the production less than we would have in more comfortable seating. I purposely got the aisle seat for my husband but even that didn't really help. I get it, its historic and... More

Saw the Book of Mormon and must say the theatre looked beautiful. And the mezzanine and balcony seats have a steep pitch to them so seeing the stage is great from farther back. That said the seats themselves were a disaster. They're very small and offer no leg room. I'm 5'1" and my knees had no where to go. The... More

Seats are extremely painful to sit in after awhile, to the point that it was hard to completely enjoy the play and both of us were relieved when it ended.

Whatever the show don't miss a chance to visit this glorious 19th century jewel of theater in Center City that evokes a bygone age of style & elegance. Call me old-fashioned, but the setting made me wish we weren't always quite so casual these days. In any event, it's good news that the theater has been preserved & continues to... More

... but the theatre is a nightmare. Uncomfortable seats, unfriendly staff and a breathtaking lack of style. You pay 26 USD for two beer at the bar and the beer is served in awful plastic mugs. The info booklet is full of advertisement and business titles of the theatre's management, but does not provide basic information about the show. Very... More

I saw the above musical on a Tuesday night at 7:30pm. My location was excellent, there was lots of leg room, the theatre looks very modern, and the location is in my favorite part of philadelphia where it is safe and there is a lively nightlife.

The seats in this beautiful theatre are the worst! Absolute "sardine city." I frankly don't understand why the seating was designed this way. Even small people have difficulty with where to position their knees. Extremely uncomfortable throughout the play. The discomfort limits one's ability to appreciate the performance. Its a shame.
