Cosy, laid back place and a relief from the heat this June. Had a Dark ad Stormy, which was fine and then asked for a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu — no trouble at all. Not the best cocktails I’ve had but worth a...More

Sunday night Memorial Day weekend. Slow in Philly center and I needed a place for a drink before meeting someone down the block for dinner. Read about this place. Bartender - young guy with a beard was nice and greeted me (that gets the one...More

I had a horrible experience here Friday night and will never return! Went in by myself and sat at the bar, ordered a cocktail and food. Ask who I thought was a bartender for a different drink and she said she’d tell the bartender, she...More

The drinks were fun and creative, however, taking 30 minutes to get bacon wrapped dates was way too long.

Really nice cocktails- I got a tequila boulvadier-ish drink and my fiance got a bourbon and luxardo oldfashioned riff and a chai masala bourbon drink. We are self-professed cocktail nerds and loved them all. Staff is down to earth and the right amount of friendly....More

Interesting eclectic decor, half like a Victorian living room, half like a more conventional bar. A really interesting cocktail list made for an interesting hour while thunder boomed outside.

A bit loungy, a bit hipster, but amazing cocktails at 1 Tippling Place. The bartenders and staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. The drinks are hand crafted with care and attention to detail, and they're fantastic. Nice, easygoing atmosphere and a fun time.

If you're not paying attention, you could walk right past this terrific bar. It has a very, very unassuming storefront. But step inside to this cozy place and be treated to some tasty and inventive drinks and some with history behind them. I'll be back.

This bar is tucked away and if you didn't now it was there, you'd probably walk right by. It does not serve food other than bar snacks but the drinks are great. It's a small place with sofas and low tables in the front and...More
