I am a lover of the ARTS..just wish I would participate in going out to the theatre more often! I haven’t been to the Arden in a while, but when I returned to see ‘My General Tubman’ it reminded me of what a great space this is to showcase talent!

The seating is intimate and you feel each actors portrayal with the intensity they deliver! There isn’t a bad seat in the Arden..so feel confident that you will enjoy the show no matter what tickets you may have.

This particular play I saw was a creative storytelling of Harriet Tubman’s life and achievements as well as placing a modern twist on the interpretation of some events!

Keep up that the great work of fostering top notch creative shows!

We are regulars of the Arden’s kids series and were not disappointed by The Snow Queen. This theatre continues to reinvent its stages, its shows, its actors. We are constantly surprised by the creativity, quality & excellence this theatre delivers. The personal touch of meeting the actors in the lobby after the show and the Q&A after the show is just what school aged kids will remember. Our son is 11 and this show was not too young for him.

Wow! what a treat! to see this amazing, innovative, delightful, clever, entertaining "American Revolution!" The actors are superb, the dialogue funny and witty...we didn't want it to end. It is a short run...only until June 11....you really don't want to miss it.

This is the only theater in town that does not offer discount tickets on the day of the show. And when you ask, they're kinda snotty about it. It might be a while before my shadow darkens their door. There's plenty of other good theaters in town that are more user-friendly, such as the Wilma, the Suzanne Roberts, Play and Players, the Lantern, the Walnut Street, even the KImmel. I'd suggest if you want a night out check one of them before the Arden.

We previously saw rhe musical in New York.and loved it. The production in Philadelphia at the Arden theater was as good and maybe even better. I thought this was the best theater performance I have ever seen at the Arden

My wife and I are passionate about live performance of all types. Philadelphia abounds in great choices in all kinds of live performance - music, dance, theater. Our favorite arts experience is anything at the Arden. I'd say "broadway quality" except often the Arden is better than the typical big New York show. Small, intimate venue, exceptional actors, interesting plays, and consistently clever staging.

A great show - sadly only on for couple more weeks. Got great seats and performance was one of the best seen in a while.

Small, intimate theater in Olde City. the play I saw featured local actors which makes it more of a community theater with high caliber productions.

We have subscribed to the Arden for a number of years and find the shows and the actors very good. We attend Saturday afternoon shows which allows us time to walk around town, go to Mass, have dinner and arrive home by 10:00 PM. Sometimes we just stay overnight in town.

The Arden has a mainstage theater as well as a second floor black box. The facility allows for some very creative performances. I believe the theater capacity is about 35-400 downstairs and perhaps 250 upstairs.
It is an equity theater company.
The Arden also produces children's theater but I have not attended any of those productions.

Give them a try. (Our most recent show was: Clybourne Park).

The Arden season includes drama, musicals (limited), comedy, occasional new works and premiers.

The annual subscription cost is very reasonably priced. The location on 2nd Street north of Market allows easy walking in olde city and to the historic district.

Having been away from the City for about 8 years, we were delighted to find a play we wanted to see "Tiny Beautiful Things" playing at one of our favorite theaters, the Arden. Wonderful production, acting, and space. Check the website to see what's playing, and give it a go even if you may be unfamiliar with the offering(s)!
