So this is a very nice and relaxing square for visit and for relaxing. There are water sprays and also lots of smaller activities including park benches and chairs. Don’t forget some famous signs to take pictures with like I LOVE PHILADELPHIA & LOVE. Overall, nice circle to browse for a wonderful afternoon experience.

From center city, wander north towards the Parkway. Within four blocks squared btwn 18th and 20th and just south of Vine street is Logan Circle. Along the perimeter of the circle are the Franklin institute, the academy of Natural Science, the main Phila free library, and the Barnes Foundation. From the diagonal one sees the Art Museum in one direction and City Hall to the opposite.
At the center of the circle is a huge fountain reminiscent of Paris. The gardens are ever changing. At night the fountains are illuminated and flowing.
Enjoy the views!

It is a busy circle at times with crazy traffic but it is one of those great landmarks of the city of Philadelphia you should include in the exploration of the city of Brotherly Love. Natural Science Museum, Barnes Foundation, Rodin Museum, The Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral are all close by. The central Fountain is beautiful when the water is flowing during the warm months of the year. The Logan circle is a part of the axle of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

We walked through here on our way to the Barnes Collection at 9:30 a.m. today. Though the fountain was lovely, the atmosphere was definitely not lovely. Homeless slept on the grass and on many of the benches. One man had just finished washing some clothes in the fountain and put them on the back of a bench to dry.
The circle is nicely landscaped and the greenery is well maintained. But the ambiance failed to foster a desire to linger and we quickly continued on our way.

The water fountain was well maintained and was nice to watch. There was a natural rainbow being formed with the mists of the water that was being blown by a little wind in the area. There weren't a lot of people so I was able to get some good pictures.

I went to Philadelphia to see an exhibit at the Barnes Foundation. I walked back to the Train station. On that walk, I passed by the fountain in Logan Circle. It had to be 95 degrees and equal that in humidity. So when I saw people playing in the fountain, I wanted to join in. But I had a train to catch back to DC. Oh well, next time.

The circle is beautiful. It is designed like Paris, has different country flags, a beautiful fountain where you will find locals wading on a hot day. So many free and low cost things to do in Philadelphia and this is one I would recommend!

Uh, nothing to see really. My teen and I drove through and found it unremarkable. Definitely won't be back.

Logan Circle (aka Logan Square aka Northwest Square) was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981 and the standout is the central Swann Memorial Fountain by A.S. Calder. Part of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
With distinctive Native American figures, each fountain stream represents the city's three rivers : the Delaware, the Schuylkill & the Wissahickon. Designed by a French landscape architect, it is largely inspired by the Place de la Concorde in Paris.
Beautiful stop to take pictures on a sunny day. Visited in June 2016.

Scene of a special day after meeting my new love on the first visit to Philadelphia last year, the fountain was the obvious choice for some post-wedding photographs when we wed on March 1st. In summer, with the fountains cascading, it's a joyous oasis in the heat. Yesterday, basin drained and water turned off, the statuary still formed a great backdrop for our happy day.
