Starting by the boat houses, we walked alongside the river via viewpoints, parks and the sculpture park. Outstanding feel to the area. A delight, do it, it's free.

I walked down this trail back to the hotel when I visited the Museum of Arts. This trail is just beautiful. On a beautiful day it easily gets crowded by joggers and bikers and it was nice to see how many sporty people there are...More

The Schuylkill River Trail is a great way to see the Schuylkill River and many views of the Philadelphia skyline. However, if you're biking the trail, be aware that a lot of walkers and joggers use the trail and it gets fairly narrow as you...More

The view is amazing if you take the trail all the way down to behind the art museum and to the row houses. Great to sit and relax or go for a bike ride.

It may not be a beautiful river like the Seine in Paris and it may not be a real trail like you'd find in Glacier National Park but it is Philadelphia. Just a little gritty and a little dirty but still holds on to its...More

The planners of this trail got it right. It's an illuminating combination of historical plaques, gardens, green spaces; the area around the Fairmount Dam and the Waterworks is captivating. And of course the constant presence of the Schuylkill River and the abundant sycamore trees make...More

We walked for miles, and miles on this beautiful trail! What a great asset to the city. There’s so much to see and do all along the trail. Just be aware of the bikers because it is a multi-use trail!

You can catch a train at 30th St. Station (30th and Market Streets). There are steps from the trail up to Market st. Sections of the trail are a little hilly; some places relatively flat.
