Nothing too special about the actual statue, especially since I'm from the area. But come on, who doesn't love to pretend they are Rocky???

Must see for fans of the Rocky movie franchise. Easy to access. However parking in the adjacent lot is $14, though it is for all day.

Cant come to Philly and not take a picture with Rocky. Obviously I had to run the "Rocky Stairs", catch my breath and take a picture with the statute. Usually you will find a long line of people waiting to take a photo but it...More

As a kid it was on the stairs and iconic. Since the pompous art museum thought it wasn't art it got moved far away. After people got upset they moved it back to the museum... at the bottom of the stairs... off to the side......More

I am a huge Rocky fan. So this was an amazing place to visit and take pictures. Not to mention you have to run the Rocky steps .

I can't get excited over a statue of a fictional character in a movie from the 80's about a sport no one pays attention to anymore. I just don't get why this statue is still here. There's so much real art, real culture, and real...More

if anyone has seen the Rocky movies, you want to see the statue. Be prepared to walk up the "endless steps". Go ahead, try to run it like Rocky did .. LOL then strike a pose!

Nice to see as an outsider but with living here I have been many times, there are Panhandler's there that keep the line long and they expect you to tip them as they pretend to be working for the Museum..

We didn't stay in the city. We stayed in Horsham, where we were able to find a relatively inexpensive hotel that had free parking, breakfast, and wifi. It took us about 30 minutes to drive to Independence Park. If you have a... More
