So glad we stopped her...of course we posed by the Rocky Statue and took pictures on the top of the steps he ran up. Friendly atmosphere, vendors sell ice cream and souvenirs here as well. You are warned NOT to give people hanging around the statue your phone to take pictures of you, but I saw people doing this and tipping the guy afterwards as he made suggestions of various poses that were actually cute! I found it disappointing to learn that the museum did not want the statue located here and it was moved four times....this is an iconic movie that adds to Philadelphia's history, they should be honored to have it here with so many visitors attracted to the area building up revenue for the city!

Definitely worth the stop for this tourist. It's Rocky, come on! There was a line of people to take their own photos, but that's fine. Bit of a gruff fella was there when we went who was there to take pictures for a fee - some people went with that, some took their own photos. Short stop, but fun picture. It was hot so we bought some flavored water ice from a vendor to cool down and plot our next move.

Quick and easy visit to the famous Rocky steps (72 to be exact) and picture by the Rocky statue. Parking tip: park in the covered museum parking lot for ONE hour free parking. The sign states the first hour is free to museum members only, but it’s free for all if one hour or less.

Great to see the statue after our girls just saw all the movies. Easy to find even with the Philadelphia marathon today, we just needed to ask the workers because it looked blocked off.
Free to see. Disregard the man trying to take your group picture, decline and he won’t keep bothering. He seems to “trick” others by taking the phone and then asking for a tip.

This is a cant miss photo Opportunity. Easy to get to and lots of free parking nearby with just a short walk. You can run up the steps just like Rocky did or take the easy way out and just pose in front of the massive statue. There are even some nis gentlemen who will take your picture but beware they will want to get a small fee for their time. They are nice and don't push themselves on you. I kindly declined and they were ok with that. Couldn't leave Philly without a picture with Rocky

It was on our itinerary cause I'm a big movie fan so I love to find movie related places in all my trips. Gave it 4 stars cause it's only a statue. Not hard to find and pretty iconic. Be aware there's people around it offering to take photos for you for a few dollars. They leave you alone if you say no, but just be careful.

We stopped by the Rock Statue for a quick visit. Since it's in a public space near the Museum of Modern Art, it's free and access is not dependent on opening and closing times. It is situated near a large public park and there was plenty of free parking across the street in the park. We were there about 20 minutes and about 5 minutes were at the statue. The rest was getting to and from our car. It's exactly what it says. The statue of Sylvester Stallone as Rocky from one of the Rocky films.

Let's just put it this way... the Statue was on top of the stairs in front of the Museum for a very long time. Then, some snowflake decided that its not art so they moved the statue to the sports park away from the museum. Guess what happened?... Museum attendance dropped in half. All the snowflakes decided to bring the statue back to the museum and the attendance to the museum bounced back. One can appreciate both Pop culture and Van Gogh. Its now to the right of the landmark stairs and everyone enjoys running the stairs and then go over to take photos of the statue. Kids and adults love to take photos with Rocky.

If you love Rocky movies you have to see this statue. Its easy to find and close to other major attractions. The only downside is constantly being asked for money from panhandlers. If you want to have your picture taken with the statue there is a bit of a lineup so you might have to spend more time waiting in line than you would prefer.

I wanted to look at this statue on previous visits but was unsure as to its location. Found it! I felt no real need to have my photo taken with my hands up in the air, but I did manage to take a quick snapshot in the few moments that no one was there posing. It was quite shaded in the morning, so I suppose you have to get there at a later time of day for the best lighting.
