Seeing the statue is free, but there are often very long. Even more annoying, is that there are "entrepreneurs" who hang out there and pretend to be officials directing traffic and offering to take photos - for a fee of course. A nice way to ruin an otherwise nice tourist stop.

We were told only tourists go to the Rocky Statue by a Philly resident. It was a fun stop, you could see people running up the steps and jumping at the top. The statue has been moved to ground level just to the right of the steps instead of being at the top of the steps. On weekends there is... More

It's just a statue of a fictional character after all yet it has people queueing up for the inevitable selfish-ies and cars blocking traffic. It's just a statue.

This was a topping to the man's perfect day! There is usually a line so plan to spend a little time waiting. A picture with Rocky is everyone's ultimate goal!

Took the Phlash and got in line. The line moves quickly and got my photo. Makes the perfect precursor to the sprint up the art museum steps.

Fun place for a photo, but the Parkway, the Art Museum and Fairmount Park are so much better. Don't stop at the Rocky statue.

It's a statue of a fictional character from a movie. The irony is it is outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art and on the street as The Barnes Foundation. It's like an outdoor was museum of one.

This is the most photographed location in Philadelphia. Always has a crowd around it. Run up the stairs right next to the statue and jump around at the top of the stairs.
