The butterfly pavilion is amazing with dozens of butterflies flying about at any given place within. Loved it very much and would recommend.

Was a little disappointed. Great place for little kids to see bugs but they need to work on the butterfly attraction. Small butterfly area with not a lot of variety. Clearly posted that you are not supposed to handle the butterfly's. Yet adults and kids...More

Recently the Insectarium has added a Butterfly museum (Feb '17) and it is a thing of beauty. Although not in the downtown area, a visit to the butterfly museum is worth your trip. The museum houses two floors of live insects on display in a...More

As a 65 + old couple I wasn't sure what to expect at the Insectarium but what we got was an hour of really energetic and informative young people to explain about the critters they have in this place along with clean and nicely placed...More

My daughter in law just posted this on Facebook, do you have any suggestions? I was looking at some reviews and I am concerned if this would be a positive experience for her. Also is the Insectarium still open and in good shape? Ok mom friends....any advice on how to deal with a 4 year olds newly developed insane fear of bugs?? Connie is now petrified of all bugs, and will flip out in the car if she sees one on her window, not to mention all the flies that manage to make their way into our home and are out back where she refuses to play outside.....i am ready to lose my mind!!
