I'm surprised by the one star ratings. I don't think they're fair or objective. One star should be god-awful and this tour is actually pretty enjoyable. It's not for everyone... read more

I was expecting a real ghost tour on a full moon night, but it was a historical one about Philadelphia's past combined with ghost stories. The guides, a man and a woman did a nice job despite the heat and the noise in the streets.

I thought it was ok. My wife thought some of the stories were contrived. Information was delivered but not in a very entertaining way (which improves these, in my opinion). If you're just looking for some possible stories, this is fine. If you want to be entertained with some good ghost stories, then pass on this.

I'm a fan of ghost stories and was looking forward to this tour. Sadly it did not match up to my expectations. We are a family of three and were part of a large group which included six children under the age of ten years old. They were bored by the second story and kept wandering off which was very... More

My husband and I did the Grim ghost tour 4 years ago, and thought it was great!! We were back in Philly last week with our kids and extended family so we decided to try this tour. (The Grim one isn't for children.) Our tour guide was nice enough, but very long winded and rather boring. We only stopped did... More

I'm surprised by the one star ratings. I don't think they're fair or objective. One star should be god-awful and this tour is actually pretty enjoyable. It's not for everyone though. If you're looking for something super scary or an all-access experience, this is not for you. However if you want to stretch your legs and like to hear about... More

This is more of a grim historical tour than ghost tour but it is very interesting. Our guide was a great storyteller and came dressed in period costume carrying his lantern. He engaged the whole group including some children. You learn a lot about the area and hear some spooky stories. We had the Philadelphia Pass and you must go... More

Booked the Powel House haunted mansion tour on 7/16/16. I had read the book, "Ghost Stories of Philadelphia" so I was somewhat already aware of this house. My husband does not believe in ghosts but was tolerant of me wanting to do this tour. I do not remember the tour guides name, but she was a delightful young woman who... More

I had never been on a ghost tour before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This was more of a historical tour than a ghost tour, which would have been fine if the guide had been more engaging. She was extremely sarcastic (and not in a funny way) and had a tendency to unnecessarily drag out stories. If you... More

Okay...for the record, I don't believe in ghosts...but I don't go on these tours to be enlightened or transformed... I go on them to be entertained and find out more about history of the town I'm visiting. Philadelphia is rich in history and let's be honest we all want more than the textbooks... give us the dirt!!! The cost was... More

Did the tour tonight and it is time we will never get back. Not scary at all. Mostly history and boring history at that. Said it was reported that Ben Franklin pushed a girl? We were all so bored we left.
