Ghost Tours of Philadelphia: Seemed more like a Historical Tour of Philadelphia

A little cold, but he kept us moving. He was very passionate about his craft and had lots of ghost sighting stories to share about Old City Philadelphia.

I wish I could give this zero stars. This was definitely by far the worst ghost tour I've ever taken and I have done ghost tours in several other cities. The gentleman that gave the tour was so boring and told the dumbest and non entertaining stories. We kept hoping that it would get better but never happened. Over half... More

I'm not into the Halloween places that scare you with costumed monsters and gore, but when my husband mentioned this tour as a possibility on our date night (night before Halloween), I was up for it to hear the interesting stories. The tour did not disappoint. We love history, and being Philadelphia, there's lots of history and ghost stories. We... More

Five years ago, I did this tour with some family and friends and absolutely enjoyed it. We had a lively, entertaining tour guide who took us to several "haunted" hot spots, including Independence Hall, Washington Square, St. Peter's Cemetery, and Powel House. It wasn't incredibly scary, but it had the right mix of intrigue, history, and entertainment. Yesterday, on Halloween,... More

I've taken ghost tours in many cities and sadly, this one cannot be recommended at all. A ghost tour should either be scary, informative, campy or just silly (read: entertaining). This was tour missed the mark on all. I got the female tour guide others referenced whose delivery was very choppy. Children were permitted on this tour (what could go... More

We booked this easily enough through the Philadelphia Pass. Very confusing as to where to meet the guide. Then we had to wait in line at the Omni gift shop to get tickets in addition to the email confirmation. We waited for the slowest cashier in history (about 20 minutes) to get our tickets. We run to meet up with... More

Our guide was Anna. She was okay. The whole thing felt very scripted and the delivery wasn't natural. Anna also walked very fast. The entire tour took 2 hours, which was ok. We passed some old cemeteries that would have been cool to get more details on. The tour wasn't scary, and the stories were better for children than for... More

We took the 90 minute walking tour on Saturday 10/10/15. Wife and I and three children under age 12. Weather was good. Just the right amount of a fall chill. Our guide was very animated and kept the children entertained. A nice brisk walk with less than a dozen stops. Some stops with ghost tales others with historical significance. It... More

After reading reviews I had expected the ghost tour to be exciting and a little scary. This tour was neither. We walked around to a few interesting sites, and learnt some interesting history but I felt that the guide stayed at each spot for a bit too long. Some of his stories were a little long winded and couldn't keep... More

We are becoming more and more frequent customers of ghost tours when we travel (Key West, Savannah, San Diego, and more). There are two other tours we know about in Philly and one of them is definitely not kid friendly. This one is and was very appropriate for our 6 and 8 year old daughters. As such, it was not...
