The best time to visit Macy’s in Philly is during the holiday season to see the decorations, light show, and Charles Dickens walk-through. Also great sales store wide. Macy’s has everything, I could spend hours in here, and not to mention, great location!

A big "hooray" for Macy's for continuing the Christmas tradition begun decades ago. The light show and Dickens' Christmas Village were wonderful and the kids loved Santa. What a great way to start the holidays. Thanks Macy's!!

I remember going to Wanamaker when I was little to see the light show and walk through the Dickens village. It is great that it is still up and running thanks to Macy's. If you are in Philadelphia during the holidays you must stop in...More

The light display does not include the organ playing. Gets a little crowded for the showing. Be sure to visit the 3rd floor, go through the ornaments and visit the Dickens Village located on the 3rd of Macy's. Worth the visit!

The elegant façade of the building is a clue to what lies within. The interior is very beautiful and the gold organ can be best viewed from the second floor. Don't miss" the Eagle" a large sculpture which is a favourite meeting place for Philadelphians

Steve, our tour guide, gave a great tour of the behind the scenes Wanamaker (now Macy's) department store. His knowledge and personal experiences really added interest to the tour. We stayed for the mid-day organ recital, and even did a little discounted shopping. I can...More

This is not just a department store. It is a historical location. The architecture is beautiful and you must see the huge pipe organ in the center. The Christmas light show is wonderful.

This is a MUST if your ever in Philadelphia. The cost is only $12 per person but boy is it very interesting especially when the tour guide takes you to see a Tiffany window that would cost well over $1,000,000 now. But the icing on...More
