pretty at night.

We were there the weekend of Mexican Independence Day so it was fairly crowded for the fireworks on the final three-day festival. Very Nice!

We went here just to see the harbor and river, but the day we went there was an event for recovering addicts. It made the population of the area more interesting that we think it would have been normally. We didn't explore as much as we would have. We would definitely go back, but maybe check closer to our date... More

Not to much to see, is good place to walk and relax, river board, sometimes is something going on, music and food. The underground parking was closed, if you get early plenty of space on paying meters on the surrounding streets.

Great views of Philly and easy to get to. I watching some pre July 4th fireworks from the landing and seeing the crash into the water was pretty cool. Walkable bridge and well developed on the south side, but good luck finding parking.

We spent a few hours down here visiting the ships and local fare. You have several eating options either on the ship or with local kiosk like establishments. Spend some time to overview your choices versus jumping to the first one you see. There's a beer garden where you can stretch out over the river which people seemed to enjoy.... More

Penn's Landing provides access to a leisurely stroll with any number of activities going on at any given time. Easily accessible from public transportation. My suggestion is to take the Phlash bus. $5 for all day hop on and off from Penn Museum of Art to Penn's Landing. Once at the landing, look around and enjoy.

We walked here at the end of a long day of historic sightseeing, after dinner at the City Tavern. Everything was closed, but the walk was relaxing. We did not feel particularly safe as dusk started to fall, so we headed back to our B&B. I think it would be worth a revisit during the day. Don't miss the Irish... More

We took in Penns Landing as part of a suggested 2 hour walk. Which included the Irish famine memorial, passing the Independence Seaport museum, the roller rink, the Moshulu, the Korean and Vietnam war memorials and at the far end the Gloria Rei Swedish historic church. Spruce Street harbour park was holding a festival with lots of food outlets. It... More

We came across this during our wander around Philadelphia. Lovely views of the bridge and river. 10 min walk from independence hall. I would recommend going if in the area.
