Nice to walk along the waterfront. Enjoyed the tour on the USS Olympia and the WWII Submarine. This was part of the museum cost.

Philadelphia has a waterfront for boat and people to traverse. I walked along the promenade and found the famous Penn's Landing landmark. The walk along the water is pleasant and invigorating even in a fog banked day. It was clear enough to see two bridges and the ships that pass underneath them. On the top side you can visit the... Penn's Landing - a nice spot for events, attractions, eating and relaxing. The best time to visit here is 24/7. Also, you can observe the city of Camden on the other side of the Delaware River. And they can see you from there too!

We picked a bad day to go. There was an event there for recovering addicts. Tons of people and a fight even broke out right near us. If we were to go back again, we'd make sure to see what was going on there the day we planned the visit.

We were there the weekend of Mexican Independence Day so it was fairly crowded for the fireworks on the final three-day festival. Very Nice!

We went here just to see the harbor and river, but the day we went there was an event for recovering addicts. It made the population of the area more interesting that we think it would have been normally. We didn't explore as much as we would have. We would definitely go back, but maybe check closer to our date... More

Not to much to see, is good place to walk and relax, river board, sometimes is something going on, music and food. The underground parking was closed, if you get early plenty of space on paying meters on the surrounding streets.

Great views of Philly and easy to get to. I watching some pre July 4th fireworks from the landing and seeing the crash into the water was pretty cool. Walkable bridge and well developed on the south side, but good luck finding parking.

We spent a few hours down here visiting the ships and local fare. You have several eating options either on the ship or with local kiosk like establishments. Spend some time to overview your choices versus jumping to the first one you see. There's a beer garden where you can stretch out over the river which people seemed to enjoy.... More

Penn's Landing provides access to a leisurely stroll with any number of activities going on at any given time. Easily accessible from public transportation. My suggestion is to take the Phlash bus. $5 for all day hop on and off from Penn Museum of Art to Penn's Landing. Once at the landing, look around and enjoy.
